I won't lie. It's been a tough week. Lots of things to do. Zero motivation. Staying at home physically is not tough. But keeping the mind positive amid the global bad news is not easy.
It took me 2 hours this morning to collect chicken from the wet market and go to 2 supermarkets just to pick up some pasta and bacon. I want to buy more just so that I can minimize the number of time-consuming trips out to get groceries yet I have to be mindful to just buy what my family needs for the week so that there will be enough for others. As it is, a lot of the shelves are bare. I want to scream at those who are flouting social distancing rules but I have to be patient and tolerant because we are all in this difficult situation together.
So I'm sending a little sunshine your way my friends. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I know it's hard when the super overachievers amongst us seem to be learning new languages, cooking gourmet meals for their families and checking off everything on their to-do lists. Just know that what is shared on social media shows the highlight reels of a person's life and is not representative of their actual lives.
I mean, I got out of bed today. Changed out of my pjs. Got my morning workout done. Made pancakes for the family. Went out for groceries. Cooked lunch. Showered and put on clean clothes. Replied some emails. Had a few phone calls. Wrote this blog post. Clearly winning at life, right? *winks*

Sending you hugs from NY! Thanks for reminding us that social media is staged. This week for us our grocery was out of chicken, but the bread was Ok, so I guess I'm calling it a win. Lovely little card and hang in there!
Been up for 2.5 hours, showered, got ready for work, started a load of laundry, read 4 chapters in my latest book I am reading, caught up on Facebook, had breakfast, and now blog checking. :) I love the card! Fun colors!!!
You're definitely winning at life! I've been productive during our stay-at-home order. Some days more than others, but overall I'm doing really well.
Love the retro look of your card. The ribbons were a nice touch. Mostly I enjoyed your commentary on society and the situation we are in. My blog is my marker of time and distance so when someone comments at least I know there's someone out there taking a break from hand washing. When I get really down I count my blessings...good health, adequate food, and enough craft supplies to keep me busy for the rest of my life even if I live to 200!
