A decorated tea box for the Spring /Summer Coffee Lovers Hop 2021

It's that time of the year again - the Spring /Summer Coffee Lovers Hop and my project is a decorated tea box. :)

I started with this lovely sturdy box that I got from Fresh (I am obsessed with skincare!).

I thought it would be nice to send someone a gift of a cup and some tea bags since we are mostly staying at home these days. I kept the decorations as flat and postal-friendly as possible.

I love that the original box is very minimalist in design - just Fresh on the cover of the box. So I really needed to decorate just that part of the box. :)

I drink both coffee and tea. Coffee in the a.m (double shot espresso) and tea the whole day. :)

What about you? What kind of caffeine do you gravitate towards? *winks*

Make Stuff Monday - a quick decorated envelope

Hello friends! Today's Make Stuff Monday is a super quick decorated envelope.:) These are great for slipping a quick note along with a goody bag when you meet a friend. :)

I always try to use the bits from happy mail once I've photographed them to post on social media and thanked the sender. Because I've pretty much stopped buying any scrapbooking supplies, every time I get happy mail is when I get "new" stash to play with! :)

I get especially excited when I can mix in my own stash too. Like on this quick decorated envelope.

What about you? Are you working on your existing stash or still buying the latest scrapbooking supplies?

Another week of eye drawings for #the100dayproject

So I've been on a roll trying to catch up on eye drawings for #the100dayproject. And I've been playing with my neglected art supplies. Here is 32/100. I used shimmering watercolours on the eyelids.

Went a little bolder with acrylic inks on 33/100.

Got my watercolours out for this one..34/100.

A mix of inks and watercolours for 35/100.

Same supplies but different colour combo for 36/100.

And also for 37/100.

Got the acrylic paints out for 38/100.

And more acrylic paints for 39/100.

Acrylic paints and watercolours for 40/100.

Switched to textured mixed media paper for 41/100.

Went for bold colours for 42/100.

Tried a more abstract style for 43/100.

44/100  got a little messy and I tried to "save" it with white paint.*winks*

Had fun with this colour combo for 45/100.

Just 3 more eye drawings to be fully caught up so I think I'm doing okay. :) What do you think?

This week's quick card using bits of happy mail

Hello friends! Here is this week's quick card using bits of happy mail. :)

I went with a grey textured cardstock as the base and added some pink ribbon as a a card tab.

I finished with a sticker sentiment and some bling!

The one about the TCM treatment

So the other day, my mum and sister went for TCM treatment and came back bandaged up! *dramatic music plays in the background*

Here are closeup pics of them looking pathetic *re-enactment*.

Lest you think unkindly of me, the treatment wasn't painful at all. They just had medicated ointment placed on their problem areas and wrapped up for an hour. And of course, no spicy or sour or cold food for a few days.

Had fun putting this layout together using bits from recent happy mail and chipboard pieces from my stash.

Finally used this patterned paper with flamingoes and giraffes that I have been hoarding for years. Yes, I thought of fussy-cutting the animals out but decided to just use the whole sheet. *LOL*

Did you notice how I've strategically placed the embellishments to not hide the animals? *winks*

Hope you are having a great week so far friends!

Make Stuff Monday - postal-friendly decorated box

I love putting gifts in a decorated box to really heighten the recipient's experience. But postage has gone up quite significantly in the last year. So this year, I am decorating more postal-friendly (and possibly more minimalistic) boxes. It would be cheaper to mail and also easy for me to stack them in their temporary storage location. :)

I started with a sturdy gift box from Givenchy (I got some perfume at Christmas) which I covered with patterned papers.

I added a piece of white doily to serve as a base and I re-used some bits from recent happy mail.

I must say that I would tempted to add some dimensional flowers and bling to the piece...but that would mean that I would need to bubble-wrap the box and add more $$$ for my postage.*LOL*

What do you think?
