A mixed media canvas....and a challenge winner!

Canvas-for-Cindy

Did I let a whole week go by without sharing a canvas? *winks*
Here's one I did for Cindy [who won my personalized canvas giveaway].
Lots of paint, Golden mediums and rub-ons!
I won't lie. This one took a really long time. Seriously. I asked Cindy what her fave colour was and she gave me a list of colours she didn't like...so I had to improvise with my limited paint colours and mists. Let's just say gesso came to the rescue many many times. *LOL*

Supplies: 6x6 canvas, Golden fiber paste, coarse molding paste, crackle paste, fine purmice paste, Daley-Rowney acrylic colours and gesso, Maya mists, Graphic 45 patterned paper - butterfly, Ranger stickles in rock candy, Prima canvas letters, Basic Grey rub-ons, Craft Affair rub-ons, Crafter's Workshop stencils, trim.

8 is a lucky number...for 2 challenge winners! :)

Hello card

Happy Monday friends! :) I had some fun this weekend playing with Gauche Alchemy's November kit - Nearly Nekkid...it's a really cool kit with neutral colours. :)

I love the textures created on this card with the braille paper, woodgrain punchinella, dress pattern tissue flower [yes I just scrunched up the tissue, put a button on it and called it a bloom! *LOL*] and twine...inspired by Moxie Fab World's textured to perfection challenge. Gotta love a 15 minute card! :)

She was torn...an art journal page

She was torn...an art journal page

Happy Monday friends! Today I'm sharing an art journal page! Yeah, you read right...not a misprint! *LOL* Kind of had to since my guest blogger Marit issued a collage challenge! :) I was inspired by the prompt over at TAAFOMFT...fave manufacturers... :) She was torn because it was so hard to choose...she really loved them all...[yes, I'm referring to myself in third person here!]

I first misted the background, then did some masking and inking. I added bits and pieces of scrap paper, stickers and some embellies from Gauche Alchemy.

I also want to say a big thank you to all the participants of my guest blogger Karen Baker's grid technique challenge! Especially those who were inspired to share multiple cards! :) All the entries were truly spectacular (I'm so totally gonna CASE some of you!:)
and the winner who was chosen randomly is.....(drumroll...)

# 7 Kavitha!

Congratulations girl! :)

U & me

As promised, here's my attempt at a digital layout....I basically played with a lot of digital overlays from House of 3 and Kenner Road. The layout U & me features a photo of my oldest nephew Sean and me, on the bed, taking photos in our jammies...:) If you missed the digital tutorial shared yesterday, see it here. And share your digital creations for a chance at a sponsored RAK! :)

I want to say a big "thank you" to all those who participated in the quilling challenge...I just read the post again and realized that I didn't set a deadline nor announced if there was a RAK and yet you played along! How sweet! Without further ado, the winner is

Anita at Crafting Forever with this labour-intensive piece!

Congratulations Anita! I'll be sending a RAK your way! :)
