Black lace tag with gold dress form for Blue Fern Studios

Black-lace-tag

Have you noticed that I don't really use a lot of black on my projects? I apply little black accents just to "ground" my projects....like a ribbon tab, sticker or brad. The truth is, black is a little scary for me...I don't even have black paint in my craft arsenal...*LOL*

But art is all about experimenting, right? Love the contrast between the black lace and the gold dress form from Blue Fern Studios.

P/s: Come play along with my guest Savannah's masking challenge...it ends on Friday! :)

This looks gorgeous. The gold just pops against the black.I am quite a fan of black especially when altering wooden things.Being as clumsy as I am ,black paint is awesome at hiding all the little mistakes I create while priming my stuff.

It's funny you said that about not using black, because when I saw the thumbnail I totally thought 'that's a different look for Yvonne!' I love it, though - the contrast really makes the other elements POP :)
