Well, this is why I generally don't share pictures of me...I look awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera. Definitely due to childhood "trauma". I was scouted as a teen and went for a casting session...where the photographer told me that "the camera does not love me.." aka I am not photogenic. I always thought that it didn't matter since I wasn't keen on modelling anyway. But apparently, it does affect me....I just don't like being in photos. *LOL*
Anyway, here is a rare photo of me at my fave French restaurant in Hanoi.

You don't look awkward at all! I've never seen you in person, so I can't speak to whether the camera catches you accurately, but you look great in this photo. Don't let one idiot from your childhood prevent you from showing off how beautiful you are! Even if you don't share your photo online often, at least be in the photos.
