The gangster gang has just recruited its latest member!

Wood-album-main-cover

Have you heard? The gangster gang has just recruited its latest member!

Yes.  Terror at the playground when the gangster gang is around....[Dramatic music plays in the background...]

If you see these 4....RUN!

They tease you with their antics at the fire hydrant....

And taunt you with their goofy faces....

It is impossible to get a good group shot of the gangster gang...

Fortunately, they have to go home eventually and the playground is safe again! *winks*

Just sharing a mini wood album I made of the nephews and niece. There is a step-by-step tutorial at the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft blog. :)

My current fave Faber Castell Memory Design Craft supplies and your chance to win them!

Hello there friends! Today I want to share with you some of the Faber Castell Design Memory Craft supplies currently rocking my creative world. *winks* And ONE lucky person gets to win the goodies in the picture, courtesy of Faber Castell Design Memory Craft! :)

Layout
1. Gelatos

I love these! They glide on like lipstick and can be used both as a wet or dry medium. The colours are vibrant and work on a variety of surfaces like paper, canvas and even wood.

2. Paper Crafter Crayons

These highly-pigmented wax crayons are awesome for creating wax resist effects. Or just to serve as a barrier to prevent colours from bleeding into each other when playing a variety of mixed media products. Melt them with a heat gun and you can get really cool wax drippings.

 Travel tag
3. Stamper’s Big Brush Pens

These lightfast India ink pens are great for stamping and colouring chipboard. I especially lovelovelove the white pen. I use it a lot to cover up my "mistakes".  And to stamp on dark backgrounds.

4. Art Grip Aquarelles

These pencils are easy to colour with and the colours intensify once you add water for awesome watercolour effects. Love that they are waterproof once they are dry, allowing you to add layers and layers of colour to create depth and richness to your projects.

Can I paint? Err...it is evident I need help...

Journal-painting1

I am pretty excited about the re-opening of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam on April 13. I was lucky to have visited in 2002 before it closed for a 10-year renovation in 2003. It is notably famous for the painting The Night Watch which I actually didn't think much of at that time...[I blame it on youth..*winks*]...

Err...it is evident that I need some help when it comes to painting a landscape...*LOL*

Fortunately, there are "tools" to help me with my painting! :)

Check out my step-by-step tutorial on 'Painting' with Art GRIP Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and Gelatos. :)

P/s: Happy weekend friends! Don't forget to play along with my guest Lizzy's fussy-cutting and/or handjournaling challenge, LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a Cover girl?, the sketch challenge at Purple Pumpkin and Zeus and Zoe's About Me challenge.

My fave month of the year! :)

Paper-weave-birthday-card

March is my fave month of the year because it's my birthday month...yay! :) [Why celebrate just that one day when you can celebrate the whole month, right? *winks*

I had so much fun putting this card together...I made a paper weave with old book paper, Faber Castell gelatos and Golden glass bead medium. For a step-by-step tutorial, please visit Faber Castell Memory Design Craft for this paper weave card. :)

What do you do when you have mismatched ephemera?

Magical-day-at-playground

What do you do when you have mismatched ephemera? That you really really really want to use up? And not a whole lot of time?

Why you apply the magic of spray gesso of course!

The start of a girly art journal...

So last month I completed my first art journal in an altered book featuring my nephews. This month I started on a girly journal starring my niece....an excuse to play with pretty stuff like lace, floral fabric tape and blooms! :)

I love cutting windows in my book because the depth allows me to add dimension objects like the blooms and pearls without creating bulges in the book so it sits nicely in a bookshelf. :)

Visit Faber Castell Design Memory Craft for a step-by-step on how I created these mixed media journal pages.

I love my Gelatos! :)

Brothers-united

I remember the first time I had gelato. It was winter. In Rome. It took me a whole hour to finish my gelato. A total luxury for someone who lives in a tropical climate. [Lady Gaga's meat dress would sizzle in the heat and she could totally eat her dress! *LOL*]

I still love eating my gelato on a cold rainy day. :) And apparently I love playing with gelatos too - Faber Castell Gelatos® Colors.  *winks* Do you know that they can be both a dry and wet medium? Check out how I used Gelatos® Colors to create my background in a step-by-step tutorial over at Design Memory Craft
