Just a super fun upcycled paper bag for Make Stuff Monday. Wanted to use up lots of scrap bits. :)
Happy week ahead friends!

Happy week ahead friends!
Haven't shared in a while but I'm actually halfway through this sketchbook...:)
I really really enjoy fussy-cutting. There's something meditative and therapeutic about cutting out the patterns. It makes me happy to have a whole stack of fussy-cut elements ready-to-use for future projects. :)
What about you? Do you enjoy fussy-cutting?
I was in Penang last week to visit my bestie and came back with these new additions from Buttersage Pottery. :)
I already have two matcha cups and a chawan in this style. Now I have a pouring jug.
We recently celebrated mum's birthday with a day trip to Johor, Malaysia.
It was my sister's first drive in so she was very excited...which meant that we went out very early. *LOL*
We had a dim sum breakfast, did some grocery shopping and then went to another mall for sportswear shopping (the folks have recently started going to the gym so they needed nice workout clothes), had a seafood lunch then a foot massage. After that we bought takeout for dinner to avoid the jam at immigration. And a tiny cake for mum (the bakeries there only sold mini cakes..) which we cut at home.
Just a layout with lots of fun bits. :)
I recently scored some unadorned Kraft bags and just had to get to decorating! *winks*
Trying a vertical design and experimenting with creating different clusters that are linked by colours.
Happy week ahead friends!:)
I remember how excited I was to sharpen my coloured pencils with my new Afmat sharpener. Look at my happy pencils! Interestingly, I bought both the automatic (which was highly recommended) and the manual sharpener (added to the cart to meet free shipping)...but I love the manual one a lot more. :)
Happy Monday friends! Had a large Kraft paper bag in my stash that was screaming to be decorated *winks* so here it is!
So, I love cute socks. But I never have to buy them. People love to give me cute socks! *LOL*
Why wear plain socks when you can wear cute ones right? *winks*
P/s: Do you like cute socks?
Can you believe we are in the second half of the year? Let's get back to the birdie playbook. :)
Did the base sketch and first layer with coloured pencils, intensified the colours with Faber Castle Gelatos and finished with a Posca white acrylic paint pen for highlights.
Still trying to get the bird proportions right...but that will come with practice.:)
Happy Tuesday friends!
