Tuesday's desk - chocolate chip cookies

 

I recently baked for CNY and realised how much I miss baking. I haven't baked much in the past year because of time constraints. But this year, I want to get back to baking. It was lovely seeing the dough come together in the mixer. And the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies was just divine! :)

We also went to hang out at another big mall in Kuala Lumpur - KLCC. 

They had their CNY decorations up...perfect for photos.:)

Just used a red packet and some bits from last year's CNY decor for the festive bits of the layout.

Celebrating E's birthday (part 2)

 

As mentioned previously, we were in Kuala Lumpur for a few days earlier this month to celebrate my sister E's birthday. 

We pretty much spent most of our time here at this mall - Pavilion. Lots of restaurants and shops.

I wanted to get her an ice-cream cake but she chose this small minion one. *LOL*

The other day we tried Chagee tea and got the cutest paperbag ever! 

This was what I started with...just had to cover up the brand name....

Added some fun bits along with some shimmering spray to finish. All done in 10 minutes! *high fives all around*

January in eye drawings

 

Can you believe that we are almost 3 weeks into 2025? And I have spent 11 days of it out of the country on 2 separate trips. And now have slightly over a week to prep for CNY 2025.

The upside is that I got a little "me" time in and did a few eye drawings (yay..go me!).

Celebrating E's birthday at El Cerdo

 

The Yams were recently in Kuala Lumpur to celebrate E's birthday.

I brought them to my fave Spanish restaurant - El Cerdo - where we had crispy suckling piglet and a seafood paella.

And my sister was surprised with a complimentary cake and alcohol and all the staff singing her a birthday song. 

She also got a complimentary box of chocolate. Really great place to celebrate one's birthday. :)

Tuesday's decorated box project

This watercolored postcard with a girl's face came in a Jane Davenport order of craft supplies. I love the colours on it...and decided to just use the whole thing as a "background" for my decorated box.

Here is the lovely box I started with.

I just added little bits in the same colour scheme...

Loved how quick this project came together. :)
