Let's save the Christmas tree! *winks*

The Yams are always up for a little fun...so when we saw lopsided Christmas tree at the mall, we decided to "save" it! *winks*

Mummy Yam and E tried their best to push the tree back to an upright position...

While Papa Yam tried to thwart their efforts by pushing the tree down... *LOL*

Happy holidays friends! It's been a challenging year but we made it! See you in 2025! :)

Another week, another decorated pocket envelope project

Really having fun decorating these pocket envelopes (receipt holders from online shopping). I really love the pastel yellow base - such a happy colour!

Just wanted to create a happy "scene" with flowers and butterflies....

Finished with a little birdie and some pearl mist of course. :)

A page from the gratitude journal - Oriental Jade Hotel

This gratitude page was about the lovely boutique hotel I got to stay at when I was in Hanoi. It was a lovely place and in a great location (like a 3 minute walk from my fave spa!) and the service was great.

I could overlook the minor problems of having to pay to use the sauna and that I could swim the whole length of the pool in one breath (it was really small). But the food was really really bad. At first I thought it was because it was the packed breakfast (had to leave for morning appointments before in-house breakfast started) but it was worse when I could actually dine in. They couldn't even get the French toast right. Or the eggs.

What are your deal-breakers when choosing a hotel to stay in?

Another week of 3 eye drawings

As the end of the year draws near, I am speeding up my eye drawings to finish up this latest sketchbook........which has taken a really really really long time to complete because I haven't been consistent at all for most of this year.

And if you are wondering why I haven't shared any Christmas projects yet...it's because I haven't started wrapping my pressies yet. Apparently, I've dropped all the balls and caught none. But it's been a stressful year so I am going to be kind to me and just go with the flow....afterall, a week is quite enough to wrap up pressies, right? *winks*

Despite everything, we still managed to do a short family vacation to Bali last week. :)

P/s:Hope you are better prepared for the holiday season than I am.

It's gelato time!

The Yams were pretty excited to try out the Venchi gelato...can you tell? *winks*

We went all-out of course - 4 flavours each!

Plus a photo with the display! *LOL*

The verdict: the gelatos were really good but the cone was disappointing (for the price).

A page from the gratitude journal - nail drill

Sometimes you really don't know what you've been missing out on until you got it. For me, I've really enjoyed having a nail drill in my life. :)

P/s: It's used to file down nail polish without acetone...and a lot gentler on the nails. The nail tech at the salon can do it super fast but I like being able to remove and repair myself even though I'm super slow. *LOL*

This week's upcycled project - a decorated pocket envelope

Haven't done a cute little "scene" in a while...here is one on an up cycled pocket envelope. I love the pastel yellow base so I kept it and just added more pastel elements and added some darks to ground the whole piece. You can't really see but I did finish with some pearl mist because sparkle makes everything prettier right? *winks*

Enjoy your weekend friends!

A page from the gratitude journal - free full-sized blusher

This page from the gratitude journal is all about getting a full-sized blusher when I attended the Pat McGrath event at Sephora. I have attended many events...some have been generous with the quantity of sample size products but this was the first time I scored a full-sized product worth $50. :)
