The owl on a paper plate story....and a challenge winner! :)

A-beautiful-mess

So my niece S really enjoys colouring. She was really enamoured with my altered mixed media owl box so I drew an owl on a paper plate for her to colour....*winks*

Check out how happy she was! After that, I cut out holes for the eyes and nose...and she played with her paper plate owl mask for the rest of the day! :)

The background was made with strips of scrap paper with text stamping.

Washi tape, chipboard and stickers!

Playing along with the challenges at Scrapfriends and Scrap Around The World.

What a great auntie you are. It's never too early to encourage the artist in a child. I like how your minimal use of color makes the photos stand out.

Aww, how adorable she is, and what a great idea you had to give her a "colorable" owl to turn into a mask. You are SO clever! And your layout is fabulous. Very, very cool background with the text print paper strips. Love the washi, too, and LOVE your title work!
