Mixed media girl on a wood panel

Mixed-media-girl-on-a-wood-panel
I have been having fun drawing and painting my mixed media girls on different substrates. This one's on a 12x16 wood panel frame. :)

The substrate was prepped with a few layers of white gesso. Then I sketched my girl with a Prismacolor coloured pencil.

Next I went in with paint, inks, pastels and pencils.

I finished off with white highlights using a white pencil and white paint pen.

What do you think?

Amazing! Your girls are just amazing, my friend! There's so much soul in your eyes, and I love the white highlights and contours in the hair and face. Cool substrate with the wood panel here, too!
