It's been a while since I attended a Sephora event...but I used my points to redeem a ticket to attend one recently. And it was good. Lots of new products to try and get samples of. And a goodie bag worth $400. :)

This year I'm all about using the stuff I have and enjoying them. Every day is special because you are in it. :)
Currently enjoying the Firefly bluetooth speaker, my fave concealer from Nars and a new fluoride-free toothpaste.

Workspace Wednesday - getting into the vacuum-sealed life
It's been a process to cut down on the use of plastic containers at home for food storage. I started with Pyrex glass containers for the fridge storage and glass jars for dried food. I also added some stainless steel containers so that the folks can bring food out to share with their mates without the extra weight and breakage concerns.
Last month, I invested in a set of vacuum-sealed glass containers for leftover food and some food prep ingredients to help me deal with time-constrained days. They have been great so far. :)
I used the packaging leaflet for my page in the gratitude journal. Added some stickers for interest.

New pink bedsheets...gratitude journal 2026
Recently this girl has been buying new lightweight cotton bedsheets in pink! Easy to wash and hang!
Super quick page...just cut out the packaging and added some fun stickers! :)

Really happy to include travel ephemera in my gratitude journal to document my journey. These days I find myself more into appreciating life as it happens than always taking my phone out to take photos.
I usually take a hotel address card with me so I can arrange for deliveries to my hotel and instead of recycling the card, I just incorporated it in my gratitude journal...

Sometimes pages can be simple....*winks*
Not every page in your gratitude journal needs to be perfectly decorated...I really wanted to include the clothing tags from the two long-sleeved dresses I bought from Muji...and the only space left to decorate was the connecting page. So I added some girl stickers that kind of reflected my current dressing style. And I call it done! *LOL*

Pages from February 2026 gratitude journal
This year's gratitude journal features lots of packaging to document the memories.
Like using the Venchi Chocolate wrapper after I've finished eating the chocolate that the bestie got me from Italy. Definitely grateful for that since I no longer buy chocolate locally (prices have doubled!).
And just using stickers and text from the pamphlet to document the first time I bought clothes from this online store. I love that you get some visuals without actually printing photos. :)
Jan 1-7 2026 in my gratitude journal
Hello friends! So excited to share my 2026 gratitude journal (er...2025 still needs some dressing up at the moment..*winks*). The Canon Selphy Square sticker photos were becoming wee too pricey for the gratitude journal...so I've decided to use packaging to help with that problem. And it's been super fun!
The January 1st page features packaging from a new serum I'm trying out this year. I also wanted to document my first purchase from Island Living (a local homeware store). The cute frog sticker came with a purchase and seemed apt to ring in the new year. *LOL*
January 2nd was all about the samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken). Tried out this highly rated Korean restaurant and loved it. Love that we can get pretty authentic Korean food in Singapore these days. :)
January 3rd was the day my first Issey Miyake Bao Bao bag arrived! I've always wanted this iconic bag but was iffy about how things were going to sit in a bag with no base. Then they designed one with a base and I got it. It was hard to photograph the slouchy bag so I just used the bag tag.
I took a photo of the goodies my bestie bought me from Italy and also used the perfume packaging. In case you were wondering, I tear the packaging and only incorporate the top most layer of the cardboard...else the gratitude journal would get too bulky.
January 6th was about the Jim Thompson tote bag that mum and E got me on a trip to Bangkok many years ago. I didn't really like the beige colour so I never got round to using it. But this year, I decided to just use all the stuff I own or get rid of it. So I cut off the bag tag and used it. And love it. It is perfect for shopping days!
January 7th was the day my trench coats from Mango arrived! I love trenches. Not many opportunities to wear them locally (except for those cotton ones without lining) but great for travel.
And there you have it. 1 week in January in my gratitude journal. What do you think of this new format?
