So on weekends, I bring my mum to the McCafe nearby for breakfast. We always try our best to arrive early so that we can score a seat at one of two tables that doesn't get hit by the direct sunlight streaming through the glass windows.
Of course, there are times when we arrive late and have to open an umbrella indoors while having breakfast. Believe me, it is necessary because it's really hot and glaring.
Think the folks at McCafe would consider installing some shades if I sent them this layout? I told my mum to give me a pathetic look but she needs more practice, eh? *winks*

That's a funny story and great layout. Maybe the cafe would tint their windows if everyone opened an umbrella inside...so much bad luck would befall the cafe! I love how you document your daily life....makes for interesting reading....you should make a book!

What a lovely thing to do with your Mum! And that circular bg stencil....sets up the whole page I reckon AND I know what this LO reminded me of...took a bit of time.....of an ad in a glossy mag!!!

Yeahhhhhhhhh ... she needs to work on that pathetic look!! She has CUTE down though! LOL!!!! I love love love this! LOVING the colors, the photos and the title ... and we use umbrellas here too for sunshine -- the heat/sun is just too much!!!!
