Rock-and-roll with Chunyuan Wu! :)

My guest today is the talented Chunyuan Wu of Dahlia Memories. Have you seen her drool-worthy cards? Her signature style is clean and simple - minimal use of embellishments, awesome use of stamps and lots of white space. I love that your eyes zoom in on the focal point on her cards instantly. Today she's sharing with us her fave stamping technique - the rock-and-roll inking technique. She's also hosting an awesome challenge with a delightful prize package for a lucky player!
Let's have a look at Chunyuan's beautiful gallery.
My name is Chunyuan Wu.  I am so honored to be a guest at Yvonne’s Do More with Less blog.  I love the process of card making that helps bringing out my inner creative spirit.   I love all aspects of paper crafts – color, pattern, embellishments, and techniques.   Now, I have become a voracious reader of the online world of card making blogs. I feel so privileged to be part of this inspiring community!
I love stamping and clean and simple designs.  One of my favorite stamping technique is rock-and-roll inking technique.  This technique adds more depth and interest to the stamped image.  There are two different ways I use this technique.

First one is using two different colors of ink. It can be two shades of same color or  two different colors.

Ink the stamp with the first ink color...

and rock and roll the edge of the stamp on a second ink pad.

This technique gives you a two tone image.

A second way requires only one ink color.  Ink the stamp and stamp off on a piece of scrap paper, then rock and roll the edge of  the stamp on the same ink pad before stamping.  This technique adds more subtle gradient color edges to your stamped images.

Best part of this technique is no special tools needed!  Any types of ink will work -  pigment, dye ink, or distress ink.  Do you love stamping?  Now it is your turn to show us your creation with the rock-and-roll inking technique?

Such an easy but oh-so-fabulous technique eh? Ready to play along? Please link up your newly created projects featuring the rock-and-roll inking technique via Inlinkz [located at the end of the post] by Friday April 20 for a chance to win this awesome prize package -
four Amuse stamps - Chrysanthemum open, Chysanthemum solid, Leaf tree and Dress form courtesy of Chunyuan.
As always, please leave a little love for my guest Chunyuan [especially if you are playing along with her challenge].
