The abstract that went awry....*winks*

Face-on-a-messy-background

Well friends, you know I've been a little obsessed with faces in the last few months. The other night, I really meant to work on an abstract spread in my art journal *pinky swear*...

But you know, abstracts are hard....they need a focal point. So I drew an eye. Since I like symmetry, the only logical thing to do was to draw the other eye, right? *winks*

After that, the nose and lips just had to be drawn of course. *LOL*

So here it is, the abstract that went awry. *cheeky grin*

Do you think she needs like a clearly defined chin and face?

lovely background and the eyes...!! Yvonne, I don't think you need a defined chin, but maybe just a hint of face lines/or darker colors on the sides of the page to help the face to emerge !!

Lol!!! Fab work - maybe just try another abstract and see what happens? Whatever you create, it'll be awesome!

Omgosh, I think it's fabulous! I love your face against that abstract background, and love that some of the outlines are left to our imagination. I absolutely "see" the whole face in here, with chiseled cheeks and everything. Love being able to fill in the blanks on this. SO cool, Yvonne!!

It's cool. I'd leave it as is. Or add other items instead of chin and face that would make it more abstract.
