Are you a green crafter?

We have to save earth

I make a conscious effort to be "green" especially when it comes to crafting....stretching the use of supplies and using "found" objects on my projects. While I love the effect of luscious layers on my layouts, I try to create depth through inking and mixing different textures instead of adding layers of paper on top of each other. Not only do I do my part for the environment, my scrapbooks are lighter and a lot less bulky! :)

What about you? Are you a green crafter?

I love this Pink Paislee paper (base). It has some resist design on it so all I had to do was ink and mist a little. The burlap fabric is from the Gauche Alchemy BabyKiddoCutie Papercraft kit. I also used Ouchless cardboard to add a little dimension to my layout! And those pull-off tabs tell you how many drinks I've had! ;) Alphas are from American Crafts.

This layout was inspired by the challenge over at Better Living Through Scrapbooking. Gauche Alchemy's a sponsor this month so do play along for your chance to win some goodies! :)

P/s: The voting for the Monkee contest has started over at Some Odd Girl! Hop over there to vote because for every 20 comments received, 1 set of Monkees will be given away! :)

That misting work is amazing! Love the green details of the pop tabs and the burlap. I'm more green because I'm cheap, I like to use all that I can and not waste anything! My first published card was rescued from the recycle bin, I just reused the elements!

Great use of pull tabs...your spread is charming and wonderful and inspiring!

I enjoy giving life to discarded items ... I look at it as a kind of rescue mission and my dh helps me collect items too. Often he has street treasure for me at the end of the day.

Beautiful Layout as ever!!

I have always been a green crafter, saving every bit of scrap, using "found" objects, reusing when possible. It gives me immense pleasure to turn simple things creative :D

Love the colors on this layout......n use of those pull-off tabs is just brilliant.
Whenever I layer PP I cut out the part which is hidden below the top layer.....that way I do my bit for the env n save up on expensive PP too :P

Goooorgeous!!
I try to be green. Not "just" because I think it's important to bring the care into the crafting as well, but because it's FUN to use unique things, too! ...but I never made anything THAT pretty! :D

You are just a repurposing genius! I am not so green when it comes to crafting, but I did find myself searching my basement last night looking for something to alter :>) Oh and I did save something to use as an embellie while cleaning my daughter's room and my first thought was Yvonne would be proud of me!
