It's been a hot minute since I last painted my watercolour florals. Time to get back to it! Perhaps I went a little too dark here...but it was 10 minutes of fun! *LOL*
Happy weekend friends!

Happy Friday friends! Still haven't quite got back into the daily watercolour florals schedule yet. But did play for 5 minutes today just to share this with you. *winks*
Yes, I like to paint fast, wet in wet (add more colours while the paint is still wet) and without a sketch. Sometimes my flowers are wonky and my leaves are haphazardly placed but for that 5 minutes, I just paint intuitively and enjoy the process.
P/s: It helps that I live in a hot climate...everything dries very fast! :)
Haven't quite got back to the daily watercolour floral painting yet....did manage to do ONE this week..which is better than zero *LOL*.
Happy weekend friends! :)
It's a brand new week friends! Let's start getting stuff done! *upbeat music plays in the background*
You know the part where I do a daily watercolour floral painting and an eye drawing practice? That ball dropped last week...*LOL* Oh well, too many balls and not quite enough time is my excuse. :)
I did get this piece done this morning. *high fives all around*
Happy week friends! Stay hydrated!
Yes friends! It's Wednesday yet again! This week has been such a blur so far considering I spent two of the days with the folks at the hospital for separate medical appointments. Not sure how the public medical system works in your country but here there's a lot of waiting for each "segment" like taking weight, blood pressure, blood etc.
Anyway, here's the last floral watercolour piece I did on Sunday. Hopefully I get some time to paint in the next few days. :)
Is it the middle of the week already? Here is the piece on my desk this Wednesday morning. I really love the bold and vibrant colours from my Sennelier watercolours.:)
I was travelling last week so I didn't paint for a few days and it really showed in this piece. *LOL*
And this one too.
Happy Friday friends! Here are this week's quick watercolour florals....:)
Have a great weekend!:)
I have really been having fun using the wet-in-wet technique for my daily watercolour practice. It's super quick and it's all always a surprise when you see the finished product.
This one took like 5 minutes to paint and it was fun watching the colours bleed into each other and create unique marks. I love how unfussy and loose this style of painting is...*winks*
What do you think?
Last week was a pink florals kind of week...here are my practice pieces. :)
They were done in about 15 minutes so not a lot of details are rendered.
Happy week ahead friends!
Happy Wednesday friends! Today I managed to get a morning watercolour floral practice session done! *high fives all around*
Also managed to score a slice of the blondies I made on Sunday...can't believe my luck since my sister and nephew #1 have been popping them like candy. *LOL*
So I went through some of my earlier watercolour practice pieces from last year to see if I could salvage any of them and actually use them in my revamped gallery wall.
This was ONE of the pieces that I was pretty proud of about a year ago but cringed when I saw it with different eyes days ago *LOL* Not that I'm that much better after a year but rather I got better at spotting the areas that need work! *winks*
I went in with MORE watercolours, gave more "depth" to the flowers, added more leaves to improve the overall composition and added paint splatters for added visual interest. I finished with coloured pencils because I like the texture they create on the cold-pressed watercolour paper.
This piece is now more reflective of my current style. :)
If you are curious, check out how this loose watercolour floral piece looked when I first painted it back in July 2021.
Happy Friday! Can you believe that it's been a year since I started painting watercolour florals?
I'm trying to get back to my daily practice because as you can clearly see from today's practice piece, I need all the practice I can get. *LOL*
Enjoy your weekend friends!
Happy Friday friends! Here is this week's floral painting share. :)
These days I've really been into colour...:)
And just having fun with watercolours....
Enjoy your weekend friends! :)
