Happy Friday friends! Life has been busy as always...but I've been having fun using up my scraps to decorate my Kraft treat bags.
Hope you find time to enjoy the little things in life. Have a great weekend!:)

Of course, my keyboard needed a pretty cover or two...or three..*LOL*
Meet outfit #1of my keyboard's new "wardrobe"...
And outfit #2....
And outfit #3! This is my fave because of the exaggerated font size and bold happy colours. :)
Which one is your fave?
Today this gal went out for a French lunch at a new place! Boy was I glad we made a reservation because there were very few tables indoors and this gal CANNOT do al fresco dining in Singapore! (It was a very hot day today!)
For the starter, I went with homemade chicken liver mousse served with salad and freshly baked bread rolls.
For the main, I went with the Black Angus Rib Eye steak. At first I was a bit iffy about the fries because they looked really thin and a tad soggy...but they were really really good (I only ate 1/2 because it was too much food). I did finish the huge bowl of salad because this gal loves her salad *LOL*
And for dessert, I went with a homemade chocolate mousse. You can't go wrong with a dark chocolate dessert. right?
There you have it, a French lunch for Workspace Wednesday (the only work I did was to eat the food..hahaha!) Hope you are having an enjoyable Wednesday!
Meet Tuesday's kraft treat bag project. Yep. The usual mish mash of random stuff from the scrap pile + happy mail + supplies I already own = a decorated treat bag! :)
Really proud on how much stuff I actually got on this project because most were odd-shaped scraps that I "expertly" tucked under each layer. *LOL*
Happy Monday friends! Just sharing a mixed media eye from my sketchbook today. :)
Enjoy your week ahead!
So it's always extremely hectic the few days before I travel. I have to bake/prep food so that the Yams "don't starve" the few days I'm away. My mum will say that she will try to cook a few meals so that the family doesn't have to eat the highly-processed takeout food. The last trip I made, she managed to cook ONCE. This time round, they only ate takeout food. *LOL*
The few days prior to my trip I already made a custard tart and blondies. Here was what I made the day before my trip...
1. Chicken veggie galette for nephew #1's breakfast (exam week). The galette was cut into single portions on baking liners and stored in the fridge. All the kid needed to do was take out a portion and plop it into the airfryer for 5 minutes and he gets a hot breakfast.
2. I also baked 2 loaves of bread for the rest of the Yams to eat with spreads of their choices. For breakfast. But I did make sure there was about 40 eggs in the fridge so that nobody was "starving". *winks*
3. And homemade pasta sauce because the tomatoes were not going to make it till the day I returned home. *hahaha*.
This was a super fun and quick project. :)
Using bits of scrap paper, stickers and washi tape. Added some blooms along with a cute birdie and it's all done! :)
Super cute, eh? *winks*
For this week's Workspace Wednesday, I'm sharing what I had for lunch today!
I only had to feed the boys (dad, nephew #1 &3) and myself today so I decided to make an old fave that I had not made in a while - bibimbap!:)
Minced pork, fried egg, lots of veggies topped with a spicy chilli sauce and lots of sesame seed with steamed Japanese sweet corn rice. Yep...clean bowls all around. *applause*
Then I had a dessert of espresso coffee with MCT oil (brain food) and a chocolate Swiss roll that I bought from a recently-hyped local bakery yesterday that dried out from the overnight stint in the fridge (read: not good).
These days if I eat something sweet, I try to eat it at the end of a savoury meal so as to reduce blood sugar spikes and being satiated at lunch makes me less likely to want an afternoon snack before dinner.
What about you? What did you have for lunch today?
Happy Tuesday friends! Still working on the daily eye drawings....trying to add more lines and details. Have yet to tackle deep wrinkles (for an older person) because those are quite challenging and require many layers which this cheap sketchbook with really thin paper can't handle.
But I'm 1/3 into my sketchbook and I'm excited to have a complete sketchbook (albeit a small one) of eye sketches!:)
Today's Make Stuff Monday is an upcycled umbrella box! :)
Yep...apparently in Vietnam, corporate gifts always come in a gift box...even if the gift is an umbrella! :)
It would good for a skinny bottle of wine/sauce or a rolling pin? *LOL*
I used some really old wrapping paper, then went in with stickers and washi tape. I "upgraded" the handle with bright pink ribbon.
What do you think?
Some people go to cafes for coffee/tea...or maybe a cake or two....
Your gal of course has to do extra shopping...so she can make them at home! *winks*
Happy Wednesday friends! Here is this week's decorated paper bag project! :)
Sometimes, all you need is a big bow for a little "drama"...;)
I'm travelling this week but still working on my daily sketch practice. Here's today's eye sketch! :)
Last month I was pretty consistent with my eye drawing practice....yay! *high fives all around*
This month I want to get back to mixed media florals...coz I haven't quite mastered florals and now I'm a little rusty from the lack of practice. *LOL*
Happy week ahead friends!
Happy Friday friends! Today I'm sharing two decorated envelopes! :)
These were envelopes containing skincare samples from a recent Kiehl's event I went to.
Some fussy-cutting from mooncake packaging, washi tape, doily and some lace for texture.
Fussy-cut florals, stickers and washi tape.
These were super cute to decorate...and are sure to put a smile on the recipients' faces. :)
Enjoy your weekend friends!
