I was travelling last week so I didn't paint for a few days and it really showed in this piece. *LOL*
And this one too.

Just slowly filling up the pages in my gratitude journal. Like this page on my current fave healthy dessert...Greek yoghurt with yummy toppings. :)
Happy Tuesday friends! Here is Tuesday's quick project.:)
You can't go wrong with cake, flowers and a birdie right? *winks*
Happy Friday friends! Here are this week's quick watercolour florals....:)
Have a great weekend!:)
So I've been hard at work decluttering my craft supplies - throwing out dried out art supplies like paints and pens, discarding items that I've hoarded for way too long and rearranging existing supplies for easy access.
Still a work-in-progress but at least you can actually see the desk!
And yes, if you are observant, you will notice that I got some new lampshades! The original colour has been discontinued so I went with silver. :)
I've really been enjoying putting together these simple gratitude pages. It really is the simple things in life that bring us joy. Can't wait to fill up all the pages for the year.
This page is all about the cute stuff my sister bought me in Korea. Perfect page for me to use my My Melody washi tape!:)
This year Dad's birthday coincided with his first visit to the orthopaedic doctor. He has been complaining that his chest hurts when he swings his arm after he got his stents put in back in March. An x-ray was taken and the doctor said there is no physical manifestation of his pain. And that he should be able to do resistance training...(getting him to actually do it is difficult because he's so lazy and sits in front of the computer all day).
Anyway, I made an outing of the whole day. Apparently, old folks become young kids again. They were pretty happy taking joy rides around the university campus as I took a walk down memory lane at my alma mater (National University of Singapore Business School).
We went out all day (no cooking for me..hooray!) and went home to cut his birthday cake.
He looked pretty happy with his mango cake right?
Lots of fussy-cut packaging on this one...from skincare packaging to cakebox packaging.
Happy Friday friends! Just adding to my decorated box stash with this quick one.:)
I do more elaborate and decorative boxes for creative recipients but keep it simple for the normal folks because they are more interested in what's inside the box. *LOL*
Enjoy your weekend!
I'm also playing with a limited colour palette...from a friend's stash of Prisma Premier Colored Pencils that I was recently tasked to "save" from the jaws of death (aka the trash bin).
These pencils are way softer and more waxy than the Holbeins so you get a lot of blending but lose out on the details.
I'm also reminded of the "mess" that it creates as you colour...and the constant need to sharpen the pencils.
But it's been fun! :)
Just sharing a page from the gratitude journal...about the lovely chocolate mousse cake the hotel gave me for my birthday. Pre-Covid, the hotel birthday cake was a local Vietnamese rice cake ..which wasn't fantastic. Yep, I ate it all, decor and all. *LOL*
I have really been having fun using the wet-in-wet technique for my daily watercolour practice. It's super quick and it's all always a surprise when you see the finished product.
This one took like 5 minutes to paint and it was fun watching the colours bleed into each other and create unique marks. I love how unfussy and loose this style of painting is...*winks*
What do you think?
Hello friends! Just sharing a super quick project today.
Really been enjoying mixing up old stash with happy mail bits.:)
Especially those punched butterflies.
Happy week ahead friends!
