Another two-pager! :)

Summer fun

I must say that I am beginning to enjoy two-page spreads seeing that this is my second two-pager in 2 weeks! :) I had so much fun with this one and love that I got so many photos scrapped....even though you need a manifying glass to actually see the photos..*LOL*

Summer fun 1

Here's a better look at the left page. I cut out the Universal Studios Park map and made it a design element. I inked the surrounding areas with distress ink to mimick the greenery so that the map blends with the design of the layout. A little blue misting for the sky.

Fun with stickers, baker's twine and buttons.

Mini photos on 3D dots...:)

Summer fun 2

Here's look at the right page.

I used an orange corduroy brad as the sun and handstitched the rays. Journaling was printed on transparency.

I used the sketch at Sketchy Thursdays and the "play" challenge at The Studio. Echo Park papers, mist, distress ink, buttons, baker's twine, SRM stickers, cute stickers, wrinkle ribbon, thread.

P/s: A few more days to play along with my guest Tesa's colouring challenge! :)

*Edited* This layout was a Sketchy Thursdays fave

Hello sunshine! :)

Hello sunshine

Hello sunshine! :) I had one of those blur-of-a-weekend and hey presto, it's Monday again! Today's layout features my sister in Chile. I used the sketch over at Lily Bee and used loads of eyelets as inspired by this month's challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous.

Some pull-out tags for the journaling. I used some punchinella for the base. Stickles to add a little sparkle.

Who knew I had some cute eyelets in my stash? I meant to use eyelets along the whole border but got lazy...and poked holes instead..;)

P/s: Don't forget about my guest Debbie's embossing and sanding challenge! It ends on Friday! :)

Thank you so much friends!!! :)

Nyc 2010

Hello there my friends! Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes on my Tweet post, emails and via Facebook!!! :)

Today's layout features my sister. In NYC. I was determined to upcycle this brown paper bag I had in my stash (too beaten up to use as a gift bag) so I really worked all my elements around it...*LOL*

I added some blue paint with a brayer for the sky (love the effect!) A cut-out cloud and birds...:) A little handstitching to create a little pocket for the pull-out tag.

I used the sketch at Get Your Sketch On, Prima papers, Gauche Alchemy Envy Green Mixed Media Color Kit, punchinella, Crochet doiley, SRM stickers, American Crafts puffy stickers, paint, thread, tag and string.

P/s: You have till Friday to submit your entries for my guest Michelle's Get out of your comfort zone challenge! I will be showcasing another amazing guest tomorrow! :)

*Edited* I won challenge #11 over at Get Your Sketch On with this layout! :)

A little misting and masking on the background. Patterned papers are from Scenic Route Paper. Making Memories brads. Lace trim. Baker's twine. Buttons. Craft Affair chipboard letters. SRM stickers.
I was inspired by the sketch at Pencil Lines and the challenge at The Studio (to use frames).

Hi there my fabulous friends! Happy 2011! :) I'm SERIOUSLY thrilled to be back in action!:) A week without blogging seems like a gazillion years in real life, huh? Miss me much? [Apparently, my skin grew a little thicker in that one week too! *LOL*] Bet you were waiting for me to post...just so that I might let in on some of the surprises I have lined up for you in 2011, right? *winks*

Scrapping out loud challenge/ Inspired by Amelie

The Scrapping Out Loud challenge this week is to use the lyrics from the song "That's what friends are for".

I used the line, "For good times and bad times" on this layout about the bond I share with my sister. The focus was on the journaling so I used a small photo for this layout.

*Edited*
Just discovered that the challenge over at Inspired by Amelie is to cut out your journaling or use journaling strips which I did in this LO (yay!). This is my first time participating in this challenge blog...really loved the movie...I've watched every movie that starred Audrey Tautou since then :)

Supplies

Patterned paper: Basic Grey
Felt frame: Fancy Pants
Chipboard letters: Heidi Swapp
Stickers: Provocraft, American Crafts
Others: Ribbon, metal accents

* Edited* This layout was a fave at Inspired by Amelie! :) Pin It
