Make Stuff Monday - fun decorated upcycled envelope

Happy Monday friends! Here is this week's Make Stuff Monday project - a fin decorated upcycled envelope! :)

Can you tell where the envelope was from?

It's actually the sample envelope from Kiehl's that I've been upcycling for years. I usually cover the whole thing up with a piece of patterned paper. This time I decided to use the border on the envelope as part of my design to "frame my scene".  I think it turned out quite decent. What do you think?

Make Stuff Monday - upcycled decorated envelope

Just a quick upcycled decorated envelope to share today. The main fussy-cut piece was a watercolored print from my pal Lizzy so I just added some other complementary elements to complete the envelope.:)

Make Stuff Monday - a decorated envelope project

So the Yams went to a Kiehl's event recently and scored some samples in envelopes...which means decorated envelope projects! *happy music plays in the background*

Nothing fancy about this one. Just a little "happy scene" finished with shimmer mist of course! :)

Another week, another decorated pocket envelope project

Really having fun decorating these pocket envelopes (receipt holders from online shopping). I really love the pastel yellow base - such a happy colour!

Just wanted to create a happy "scene" with flowers and butterflies....

Finished with a little birdie and some pearl mist of course. :)

This week's upcycled project - a decorated pocket envelope

Haven't done a cute little "scene" in a while...here is one on an up cycled pocket envelope. I love the pastel yellow base so I kept it and just added more pastel elements and added some darks to ground the whole piece. You can't really see but I did finish with some pearl mist because sparkle makes everything prettier right? *winks*

Enjoy your weekend friends!

Mixed Media Monday - Let's upcycle a cardboard envelope for happy mail

It's been a while...but for this project, I played with gesso, acrylic paints, gelatos, stencils and gold mist! *high fives all around*

I started with this cardboard envelope courtesy of Amazon Japan. And decided to do a mixed media happy mail package.

I covered the whole envelope with brown paper packaging (Sephora is overzealous with its brown paper packaging...*winks*), applied washi tape around the edges...and then just had fun with my art supples. :)

Added a mat for the recipient's name and addy...

....then adorned the "frame" with fussy-cut elements.

Might have gone overboard with the colours...but I had fun!

Happy week ahead friends!

Friday's desk: a sweet decorated envelope

Is it Friday already? It's been an eventful week...as I get into the swing of things in 2024. No big upheavals so far ...so we are getting life done along with some well-deserved "me time". :)

Just a sweet decorated envelope with some bits from recent Christmas happy mail...and a little Stickles action.

Have a great weekend friends!:)

First upcycled envelope project of 2024

Found some Kiehl's skincare envelopes and had to decorate them right away! *winks*

Yep...just treating the background paper like "plain cardstock" and embellishing with cute stuff I like. *LOL*

I think it works? What do you think?

Thursday's quick project - decorated Christmas envelope

Happy Thursday friends! Thursday's quick project is a decorated Christmas envelope that is postal-friendly. :)

Keeping everything relatively flat with stickers, washi tape and fussy-cut bits.

How are your Christmas preparations going? I've actually given out the pressies..and have been enjoying the 2 skincare advent calendars I bought for myself. But the Christmas decor is still in storage. *LOL*

This week's cute decorated envelope

Yes friends, this girl went to a Loccitane event and scored an envelope of samples. Of course, the samples are emptied out because the girl needs to decorate the envelope...totally understandable right? *LOL*

Went for a cute and fun envelope style....

Finished with gold mist and some Stickles action on the girl. :)
