The sweetest dog ever...

So I finally summoned enough courage to download and scrap photographs of my dog Chandler [taken 4 days before he went to doggy heaven :(].....Yeah...I was in denial for a while..he was the sweetest dog ever.

I was inspired by the challenge at Scrap it with a Song and the combined challenges of OUAS +CSI.

My evidence:  birds, flowers,  newsprint pattern, dog accent, misting.
My testimony: Document a pet.

Supplies: Echo Park patterned papers, Crafter's Workshop templates, Prima template, canvas letters and paper bloom, Maya mists and wood embellishment, Golden fiber paste, Karen Foster dog stickers, SRM sticker sentiment, birdcage cut with Cricut, brads, ribbon, lace, button, twine, white pen.

P/s: Some reminders:

1. This is the last weekend to play along with LESSology Challenge #18: It's a Wrap! :)
2. Don't forget about my guest Colleen's shabby chic challenge which ends next Friday.
3. Have a fabulous weekend friends! :)

*Edited* This layout made Top 3 at Scrap It with a Song!

Oh so cute

Oh so cute

As promised, here's my interpretation of my friend Mirjam's layout! (Read my previous post to find out how you can partake in a challenge to win a sweet RAK!) Oh so cute...features my two Shitzus...when they were a few weeks old! Weren't they cute? Can't believe they'll be 13 this August..that's like 91 in dog years! :)

I did misting/masking (Tim Holtz mask)...a little stamping with Inkadinkado stamps...paper piercing, patterned paper is from American Crafts, doggie stickers are from Karen Foster...the rest of the letter stickers are a mix of Toga, 7Gypsies, Doodlebug and American Crafts. Pin It

Entourage

Entourage

This layout was a request by my friend Carrie (and seconded by Maggi) ...for me to do a layout entitled "Entourage" and featuring my two Shitzus - Joey and Chandler (yes, they were named after characters from Friends). I'm not a famous star (lol) so my entourage consists of just these two cuties... who follow me around when they want to go out and hang on to my every word when I'm holding their favourite snack (ready to give me their paw while salivating that is...:)

Patterned paper: Stemma, Maya mists, chipboard leaves: Fancy Pants, stickers (American Crafts, Adorn It & Studio Calico) and some handstiching...based on the sketch by Creative Scrappers. Pin It

Goldfishes

Goldfishes

I love goldfishes. They are round and cute and always happy to see you. I started rearing tropical fishes a couple of years ago and was obsessed with fishes for a while...I read every book they had in the library and interestingly, overcame my squeamishness about touching slimy live creatures. I remember feeling frightened as a child walking past a tropical fish store because of all the live insects and worms...I am glad now that I can feed my fish dried food....I'm not such a fan of watching one fish preying on another live creature....Anyway, this is my layout for this week's challenge at Scrapping Out Loud...which is to include some hidden journaling on your layout. Mine is a little envelope which I stitched directly on the layout ( a note to myself)..

Goldfishes closeup

A lot of handstiching on a mix of Sassafras and Scenic Route papers... some masking with paint and more stitching... Large chipboard by Fancy Pants, letter chipboard by Lil' Davis and letter stickers by Adorn It.

Cute!

Supplies: Patterned paper: KI Memories (b/w background), Sassafras (photo mat) & Cosmo Cricket (border strip), Title stickers: American Crafts, Others: Cardstock, cork paper, stickers, white pen.

This week's challenge at Scrapping Out Loud is to create a scene with your layout. The scene must include at least 2 pockets/slots for hidden photos or journaling. The DT really did a great job on this one...you must go check it out here. I can't wait to see what you have hidden! :) My layout, Cute! features my two ShiTzus when they were puppies...this was when they couldn't walk yet...they could only crawl on their bellies...weren't they cute? Okay, they're still cute today...:) Mine is an outdoor scene using my favourite animal stickers..love those little monkeys!

So, where are my hidden pockets/slots? Hazard a guess and I'll send someone a little RAK which includes those monkey stickers and some other goodies!

Happy Tuesday! :) See you tomorrow for the reveal and winner!

Miss you girl

Patterned paper: Webster's Pages, Cardstock: Bazzill, Butterfly mask: Heidi Swap, Others: Walnut spray inks, glimmer mist, cuttlebug embossing folder, distress inks, brown pen, ribbon, brads, bling.

This week's challenge at Scrapping Out Loud is Motif Madness! You must use a single motif throughout your layout. The motif can be from patterned paper or stamp. You can enlarge it, shrink it or just use it repeatedly on your layout. Fun, eh? My layout, Miss you girl, features my cocker spaniel who died in February this year...:( I chose a butterfly motif...I used a mask and did some misting on the patterned paper...I cut out the same set of butterflies on cardstock and embossed it...then adhered to the base paper using 3D dots. I added some butterfly bling around the title...Come play along!

My name is Joey

Supplies: Patterned paper: Rouge de Garance (base), Scenic Route ("amazing" strip) & Sassafras (around photo), Cardstock: DCWV, Stickers: Doodlebug designs, Renoir & Toga, Tag stamp: EK Success, Ink: Brilliance,Others: Ribbon, cork paper, Fruit iron-ons, glossy accents, white pen, black pen.

This is my first DT layout over at Scrapping Out Loud. This week's challenge is to scrap a recipe. I scrapped about my dog's favourite meal - salmon with brown rice, hence the title "My name is Joey & I am hungry...:) Actually, I was running low on stickers and this title was the best I could do....lol..

I've always wondered why I bought this Rouge de Garance paper - it looks really bright and lovely and so hard to use...now I know. :) I basically scrapped on top of this beautifully designed paper, adding the cork paper on one side to break up the busy print. I added some scraps of Sassafras paper along the edges of the photo and then a strip of Scenic Route paper on the top. Edges were inked with Brilliance ink. I added some fruit iron-ons (can you see?) - a pear and an apple - they just happen to match the paper and some red flowers. Added ribbon, stamped some tags and wrote my journaling. I like how bright and colourful the LO is. It just makes me happy!

Remember to play along at Scrapping Out Loud!

Scrapping the music challenge - Made to Love

My Cookie girl...back in 1996 when she was 18 months old. Such a cutie, eh? How apt for the song of the week, Made to Love at Scrapping the music...I miss my dog. She passed away 2 months ago :(.

Supplies: Patterned paper: Basic Grey (Pink & birdcages) & My Mind's Eye (main background), Brads: Imaginisce, Rubons- Kaiser, Stickers: Renoir, Others: white pen, glimmer mist (bronze), distress inks (for masking), ribbon, 3D dots, butteflies. Photo altered in Photoshop & printed on canvas paper.

I am loving the Tim Holtz mask, along with distress inks and glimmer mist..And I couldn't resist the birdcage paper (even though I'm trying to cut down on paper!!). And I'm really into butterflies these days...got these lovelies at a craft store in Bangkok.

Cookie loved to be outdoors, in the garden, soaking up the sun, chasing the birds and butterflies. Pin It
