The one with the messy background...

Life-layout

One of my fave ways to save time is to work with backgrounds I've previously created with residual mists. I will go "shopping" in my stack of messy backgrounds...like this one. :)

You may have noticed that I don't particularly work with masculine colours for boy layouts or sweet colours for girl layouts. I just go with colours that I like at that moment and just pull a few more colours from the photos to achieve a cohesive feel. [Haven't got arrested by the scrapbook police for using pink on boy layouts yet...*LOL*]

Inspired by the challenge at ScrapFriends and Scrap It with a Song.

P/s: This week I get to reveal my super secret project! *winks*

*Edited* This layout made Top 3 at Scrap it with a song.

The angry birds story...

Troublemakers

So littlest nephew J and niece S asked for a story the other day. It had to be about Angry Birds. I had to make one up...*winks*

Me: Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jeremy. He had 3 angry birds. One was....
Jeremy: Blue
Sophie: Red
Jeremy: Yellow
Sophie: Green
Me: Okay, so he had 4 angry birds...
Jeremy and Sophie: Yay!
Me: One day, a green pig came to visit. "Can I see your angry birds, please?"
Jeremy and Sophie: No!
Me: "Okay, how about we get your angry birds to sing for me?" asked the pig.
Jeremy: Okay!
Sophie: Okay!

Jeremy and Sophie proceeded to sing all the songs they knew [they were singing for the pig, remember?]. It was highly entertaining for me....definitely one of our best days together ever! *LOL*

I love to eat! :)

Ezard

I love to eat. Yep. I'm one of those who exercises so that I can get an approval stamp on my passport that says, "Eat it! You burned 500 calories in your last workout." *LOL* [Okay....who am I kidding...maybe 300 calories...]

I did walk the whole day to totally deserve this fine dining experience when I was in Melbourne. *winks* I was pretty excited to find a whole street of restaurants within walking distance of my hotel! :)

This layout was inspired by this week's song at Scrap it with a song - "Our country" by John Mellencamp. I was invited to be their guest designer this month! :)

Supplies: Basic Grey patterned papers, American Crafts thickers, Toga letter stickers, Daler-Rowney gesso, Golden glass bead gel, white pen, pearls, ribbon, tag, paper bloom.

So I finally summoned enough courage to download and scrap photographs of my dog Chandler [taken 4 days before he went to doggy heaven :(].....Yeah...I was in denial for a while..he was the sweetest dog ever.

I was inspired by the challenge at Scrap it with a Song and the combined challenges of OUAS +CSI.

My evidence:  birds, flowers,  newsprint pattern, dog accent, misting.
My testimony: Document a pet.

The protective big brother.

The big brother love

In contrast to the sibling rivalry between nephew #2 and nephew #3, there is this sweet relationship between nephew #1 and his baby sister. She's new to this "let's all get clean in the tub" business so he's very protective of her.

He seriously goes into "big brother protective overdrive" mode. Yep, she's trying to assert her independence by getting away from him while he's like "Hey, stay close to me!". *LOL*

A cluster of cute brads and some twine action...

Supplies: Crafter's workshop template, Maya mists, Sassafras patterned paper, the twinery twine, Prima canvas letters, Ranger stickers, K & Co chipboard, SRM stickers, black pen, ribbon, brads, black pen.

Playing along with the challenge at Scrap it with a song.

P/s: Have you signed up for the Three Cool Chicks workshop yet? *winks* And don't forget about my guest Virginia's shopping challenge! :)
