A page from my recipe planner...:)

What do you do when you have lots of food photos and planners? Well. you start compiling a recipe planner of course! *winks*

Since I rarely have a chance to take nice food photos before my family "attacks" the food, some of these recipe photos are going to include a family member posing with the food. Like nephew #1 here with the roast chicken.

This is a great way to compile your recipes and use up your scrapbooking bits too!

And practise your handwriting too! :)

Pages from my travel journal..

Pages-from-my-travel-journal

Okay, so I only managed the Contents Page of my travel journal...but that's still progress right? Considering the fact that I'm a few years behind in my travel documentation...*LOL*

I decide that I would start with 2017 and eventually work my way back. Well, that's the big plan. We shall see how that goes...*haha*

So I've been to 8 cities so far which I've listed on the left page. I've left some space on the right page to fill in for the next half of the year.

Love that I can fit the little bits and pieces from my stash in....diecuts, fussy cut elements and washi tape. And yes, I used an October Afternoon roller stamp too (yay, go me!).

The next few pages will include photos, I promise! *winks*

Finding new ways to use my planner....

Finding-new-ways-to-use-my-planner

Now that I enjoy the decorating aspects of the planner craze, I've been finding new ways to use my planner.

Like a place to keep my random drawings so that I can keep track of my progress. And an excuse to use up my MT tape. :)

And document my current obsessions....[you know that changes quite frequently..*winks*.

Happy weekend friends!:)

Embracing the cute stuff....

Embracing-the-cute-stuff...

One of the reasons why it took me so long to get in on the planner craze was because I love the cute stuff....but can't imagine using it in public. [The cutesy stuff doesn't exactly lend itself to adult credibility...] *LOL*

Now that I've decided to use it at home as a journal, I can truly start embracing the cute stuff! Yay! *high fives all around*

And add my mixed media spin on it too. :)

Using little bits and pieces in my planner

Planner-pages-for-LESSology

I love it when the little bits and pieces in my stash get used up...even though it takes a long long long time to even make a dent in that stash...I'm sure you know what I mean. *winks*

I'm currently enjoying my monthly planner spreads [daily and weekly are just too much work for me!] even though I've essentially completed only one month. *haha...fingers crossed that I can keep up with it!*

It's been fun fitting in the little bits of scrap paper, adding personal touches like a painted face and using found objects in my "save-it-for-a-rainy-day" stash in my planner. :)

Like an ice-cream stick. It is lightweight and has a cool texture. :)

My partial girl's face was from a scrap piece of watercolour practice.paper that I tested my new watercolour pencils on.

Like most of you, my real schedule is stored electronically. This physical planner is just a way to jot down some memories that I may not scrapbook about and to use up my scraps.:)

This project was created for LESSology Challenge #56: Hand-lettered Love. Come join us if you have time this month!

Personalizing my planner with a mixed media girl...*winks*

Decorated-planner-pages-by-Yvonne-Yam-for-Maya-Road

So I haven't really got into the whole planner decorating craze even though I got my first Kikki K planner last year. I got a personal-sized one so that I could carry it around in my bag but I always forgot to take it out to use. Weeks would pass and those blank spots in my calendar made me feel "unaccomplished". *winks*

This year, I decided to give it another go after discovering that people were covering up blank spots with cute stickers! And you know me...I have to have texture so I added some bling and lace tape too.:)

Of course, since I'm into drawing and painting girls, I had to personalize my planner with a mixed media girl too. *winks*

What about you? Have you joined in on the planner decorating craze?

P/s: This project was created for Maya Road.
