Make Stuff Monday - a muted colour palette on an upcycled paper bag

Decided to challenge myself with a muted colour palette on an upcycled paper bag for this week's Make Stuff Monday.

Pretty happy to be able to use up the little bits in my stash that fall under the muted colour scheme.

As always, it was finished with glimmer mist to tie everything together. :)

Make Stuff Monday - yet another mish mash upcycled decorated paper bag

Another week, yet another mish mash upcycled decorated paper bag. Yep. Scored a few Kraft paper bags recently...so more to come! *winks*

Creative time has been limited of late so I have been trying to vary my style to keep learning and growing in whatever time I do have.

Also making a concerted effort to use up my "save it for a rainy day" stash...

And just gluing stuff down instead of wasting time contemplating...

I really like how bright and colourful this piece turned out. ;)

Make Stuff Monday - a decorated kraft bag

I recently scored some unadorned Kraft bags and just had to get to decorating! *winks*

Trying a vertical design and experimenting with creating different clusters that are linked by colours.

Happy week ahead friends!:)

Make Stuff Monday - blues on a decorated paper bag

Happy Monday! Just a quick decorated paper bag project with bits from a recent happy mail.

Tried to use the decorated collage piece as is and just added a few extra elements to make it more "me".

This was what I got to work with...

And here is my completed project. :)

What do you think?

Make Stuff Monday - Sunshine Fun paperbag

Happy Monday friends! Today's Make Stuff Monday is this Sunshine Fun paperbag! :)

I started with this Giorgio Armani paperbag which was shiny silver.

I toned down the silver with a green cardstock as my base for my embellishments.

I switched out the original black handles to white ones for a more cohesive look. :)

Friday

Friday's desk - just another large decorated paper bag

Happy Friday friends! Been clearing out my cupboard of "someday I will use this" stuff and found even more unadorned paper bags that need immediate love. *winks* Did have to recycle some cardboard boxes that I was hoping to get to someday but it's been years.

Nowadays I've been more conscious of accumulating stuff so I just use them as they come. Like this yellow checked base cardboard was from diecut packaging (the contents of which were sent in a happy mail minus packaging to save on postage). The ribbon tab that I like to use on my projects? Those are all from retail packaging. The "twine" on the tag is from packaging too...so it the heart vainpot sticker.

I've always been big on repurposing and upcycling stuff with the actual recycling in the bin being a last resort. But I have to be more practical these days. I just don't have that much time. Plus I do "flatter" projects (for easy storage) these days so I have to be more discerning about the stuff I keep in my "save it for a rainy day" stash.

I used to "accept" donations from well-meaning being but not anymore. If you are consuming something, you need to deal with the packaging yourself. I get enough  to work with just using the by-products of my own consumption *LOL*.

What about you? Is your "save it for a rainy day" stash getting out of hand?

Make Stuff Monday - a large decorated black paper bag

Happy Monday friends! Just found this large undecorated black paper bag in my stash *shocking music plays in the background*....I don't know how this happened. But it had to be remedied immediately of course.

Yep... I went the cute route. *winks*

Might have been overzealous with the misting. *LOL*

P/s: What's been happening in your neck of the woods? We are having general elections on May 3rd so I have been listening to a lot of political rallies before I cast my vote. Our campaign period is just 9 days with a cool-off day before polling day.

Mixed Media Monday - sweetheart paper bag

Happy Monday friends! Getting back into Mixed Media Monday with a decorated sweetheart paper bag!:)

Didn't feel like digging through my paper scraps so I just went with random stuff around my desk..even took out some highly-neglected coloured mists, buttons and bling. Note to self: It was fun...do it again soon!

Friday's desk - mini paper bag

Happy Friday! Just a quick decorated mini bag to share. The fun girly was fussy cut from a Jane Davenport paper wrapper. Just added patterned paper and a hello diecut. :)

It was a lovely mini bag to start with... some embossed details. Got it from a Gucci Beauty event.

Enjoy your weekend friends!
