Well, let's officially start the Christmas projects for 2023 shall we? First up, a decorated treat box. Perfect for some homemade Christmas cookies. :)

I just upcycled a wedding treat box my dad got last week.

Make Stuff Monday - adding elements to a pretty box

 

Sometimes the box that you want to upcycle is already very pretty...but clearly has the brand name on it. So you just add some cover-up elements to make it a usable gift box. Like this.

Here is the original sturdy mooncake box. 

I added some scrap paper with a similar colour scheme and added some gold Stickles around the box to unify the elements.

Not sure if it worked but I really really wanted to use the fussy-cut fairy riding a turtle piece that has been in my stash for years. *LOL*

Apparently eating at Shake Shack has been on dad's bucket list *LOL*.

My sister tried it in New York many years ago...so my dad was very happy that he could try in Singapore! *winks*

I just went along for the ride since it was his treat! :)

So this gal is dipping her toes back into coloured pencils portraits...and the progress is slow. *LOL*

Pages from the gratitude journal - Mid-Autumn Festival

 

I spent this year's Mid-Autumn Festival in Hanoi where I enjoyed the night market at Old Quarter, walking around Hoan Kiem Lake with my lantern and LED-lit bunny ears. *winks*

And on the flight back home the next day, they even served a mooncake as dessert! 

So I went for a two-pager in my gratitude journal! :)

Out with mum for a Sephora event

 

Last Saturday, I went to a Sephora Holiday Event with mum.:)

Where we got our hair styled with the Dyson Airwrap...

And enjoyed free coffee and croissants.

Ahhh..it was not too long ago when I had these lovely blooms on my desk...so pretty. So glad I took a photo because my desk setup has changed considerably with the addition of a monitor! Still tweaking the setup..hope to share the finished space soon. :)

Tuesday's desk- got some cute nails!

 

So I went to try this new nail place...intending to get some classy nails but apparently cute was the order of the day.*winks* I saw the bunny face and decided that I needed that in my life..at least for the next 3 weeks. *LOL*

Tuesday's page from the gratitude journal - pasta lunch

 

Some days I get to cook lunch just for myself (quite a treat really) ...and it would be something with leftovers and veggies to create a brand-new dish. Like this pasta lunch I had the other day. I had leftover pork pieces.... so I boiled some pasta, added some fresh veggies and homemade pasta sauce, topped it with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

It was pretty good. I love my crunchy veggies (the folks love them super soft so that's how I usually cook them) and I also love that I can cook, taste and eat with one spoon. Minimal cleanup. :)

Monday's layout - the one about the ice-cream

 

The other day, we went out for dinner to a nearby mall (5 minute drive) and I treated them to some ice-cream as dessert. :)

Mum at least tried to pose for the camera....dad cannot stop eating to take a decent photo! *LOL*

Had so much fun embellishing on this layout..can you tell? *winks*

Found my multi-compartment folder of stickers and they include lots of birdie stickers! :)

And letter stickers too! :)

This week's cute decorated envelope

 

Yes friends, this girl went to a Loccitane event and scored an envelope of samples. Of course, the samples are emptied out because the girl needs to decorate the envelope...totally understandable right? *LOL*

Went for a cute and fun envelope style....

Finished with gold mist and some Stickles action on the girl. :)
