Workspace Wednesday - new wood additions

Hello friends! Just stopping by to share the latest wood additions to my collection! :)

The salad spoon and fork set will be relegated to the kitchen but the wood slice chopping board will be an addition to my wood prop collection because who buys a wooden chopping board and "scars" it with cut marks right? *LOL*

Tuesday's upcycled treat bag

I find it extremely fun to disassemble my happy mail bits and reuse them in "my style" to create a new project...like today's up cycled treat bag. :)

Sometimes we tend to stick to tried-and-tested ways when we create but it's when we try to incorporate something unexpected or different that we get a creative breakthrough. *winks*

Lots of fun elements here. ...:)

Hope you are having a great week friends! :)

Make Stuff Monday - decorated notecard from happy mail bits and the scrap pile

Last week I got some happy mail...which inspired today's Make Stuff Monday project- a decorated notecard from happy mail bits and the scrap pile. :)

I had so much fun deconstructing the happy mail bits, adding my own stash from the scrap pile and putting together a collaged project that is more reflective of my mish mash style. *winks*

I finished with a spritz of gold mist to tie all the elements together.

P/s: I add a notecard like this to a little gift with a message written on a post-it at the back. This allows the recipient to re-use the notecard or just display this at their desk. :)

The one where E was Snow White

So my sister went with me for the Sephora x KVD event featuring their new foundation since she wanted to buy a foundation.

They chose a shade that was two shades lighter than her exact skin colour so she looked like Snow White next to me. *LOL*

My sister does a lot of outdoor sporting activities in the sun so she is naturally on the tan side...while I'm the homebody with fairer skin. But not that day. *winks*

Lots of fun bits on this layout...

Check out the freebies I got from the event - a free contour brush and a travel-size eyeliner! :)
(And I was good and didn't buy anything...*high fives all around*)

Playing along with Stick It Down.

Friday

Afternoon tea at The Marmalade Pantry

We haven't been to town for some family fun on a weekend ever since 2020 when the pandemic started. Since my sister and I were attending a Sephora event, we decided to bring the folks along and made it a family day in town! :)

And yes, we had lunch, afternoon tea and dinner out...which was a happy day since I didn't have to do any cooking!!! *high fives all around*

The folks were pretty excited to eat the $12 carrot cake at The Marmalade Pantry. Check out the fake smiles! *LOL*

A really quick layout because I used a pretty and colourful patterned paper for the base. Tried to slip in as many bits and bobs to add texture and interest to the piece.:)

Happy weekend friends! :)

Thursday's super quick decorated glassine bag

Love a super quick project using paper scraps from a previous project....here's this week's super quick decorated glassine bag. :)

Fussy-cut roses, text paper, map paper, packaging and washi tape.

I was tempted to add more stash...but simplicity is elegance right? *winks*

Workspace Wednesday - first eye drawing of March 2023

Happy Wednesday friends! Just sharing today's eye drawing of the day. As usual, it was a race against time to get it done before I lost daylight. It has been rainy and gloomy for the last few days.

It's a brand new month...let's get stuff done! :)

Day out with mum

Back in late December, I spent a day out with mum...just the two of us...:)

We took a train to a suburban mall (masks were still mandatory on public transport) because that was the day the kitten was hiding in the undercarriage of the car and refused to get out. *LOL*

We went for teaner at Tim Ho Wan (dim sum)...and then we went shopping...

We also stopped by Sephora and the sales rep at Benefit Cosmetics taught my mum how to fill up her brows.

Kind of the usual mist mash of stash and packaging materials. Of late I've been having fun with paper tearing to add texture and interest to my projects...can you tell? *winks*

Hope February has been a great month for you. :) Tomorrow's the start of my fave month of the year -birthday month! Woohoo! *high fives all March babies* :)

Make Stuff Monday - Decorated gift bag and matching box

It's been a while since I did a decorated gift bag and matching box set....:)

I started with this paper bag...

And matching box.

And kept to a simple and flat design (for easy storage) with the option to add or not add a sentiment. *winks*

The base of the box and the interior are black so I added some black paper packaging to "match".

Yep my friends, just a sheet of patterned glitter paper, washi tape, black packaging cardstock and black packaging ribbon and I'm all done!

That penguin washi tape is so cute right? :)

Quick decorated glassine bag project

So I went to the art supply store to replenish and buy some new coloured pencils the other day. They were packaged in this glassine bag...which you know I had to decorate immediately...*winks*

Went in with some packaging, paper scraps, stickers, doily and washi tape.

Fussy-cut glittered paper blooms for the focal point...:)

And here is my quick decorated glassine bag project all done. :)

Enjoy your weekend friends!
