The new security detail...*winks*

So the new security detail [nephew J and niece S...*winks*] is not exactly inspiring confidence...judging by the way they handle weaponry. Plus the fact that they are in pyjamas....*LOL*

Just a fun layout about these two playing with guns. :) Love the denim bloom by Purple Pumpkin.

I applied some light modeling paste with The Crafter's Workshop stencil...love how it showcases the textured paper from DCWV. Then I added a piece of crochet trim from Purple Pumpkin.

This layout was based on the June sketch challenge at Purple Pumpkin which was created by me! I would love for you to play along! :)

Totally faking it...*winks*

Faking-it

So the two older nephews have been really cooperating on the "let's take a great picture" front. *LOL* I told that them that I needed some "expression" photos for the blog and here they are..totally "faking it"! :)

Picture #1: sad faces
Picture #2: happy faces
How did they do? *winks*

This layout was based on May's Purple Pumpkin sketch by my pal Lizzy Hill.

You don't need any Purple Pumpkin products to play along so join in the fun for your chance to win a shopping spree! :)

The Gangster Gang in cool sunnies!

So-cool

Yeah...this is how the Gangster Gang rolls about the neigbourhood now...in cool sunnies! Led by ringleader Aunt Y with the most powerful weapon of all - the iPhone! *LOL*

Of course, it isn't always easy to "control" the rowdy members of the gang, like nephew J who wanted to do the bunny hop and nephew S who wanted everyone to have bunny ears.

In case you were wondering....we do get funny stares from passers-by because of all the "posing". But our PR (public relations) team does a great job containing the situation [read: nephew J and niece S.."Hello uncle! Hello auntie!" + flash their megawatt smiles..*winks*]

This layout was based on the April sketch at Purple Pumpkin. Come play along! :)

Noteworthy forever

Noteworthy-forever

Some moments in life are noteworthy forever. Like the time my niece played dress-up in my wig and her fairy costume. *winks*

I wish I had captured the faces of the adults when they saw Sophie. There was the grandpa with his mouth wide open, the granduncle who immediately took his camera out to take photos and a lot of other hysterical adults laughing away. While Sophie was beaming at all the "attention". *LOL*

This was the layout where I realized that I probably need TWO spools of same colour thread when it comes to machine stitching....but it made a great journaling spot...*winks*

This layout was based on the March sketch at Purple Pumpkin.

Do I scrap too many food photos? *winks*

Purple-Pumpkin-Feb-Sketch-layout

It does seem like I scrap way too many food photos right? *LOL* [And I only scrap travel food photos...]

I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food. And it would be nice to look back at some of the yummy food I've eaten when I'm old and toothless right? *winls*

Fun with lots of scraps, washi tape and other Purple Pumpkin embellishments. :)

We like to play pretend... *winks*

Cherish-family-fun

You might have noticed that I like to scrap funny moments in life...*winks*  Well, that's the Yam family!

Everyone is a joker of some sort! Check out what we did to the donkey and fish! *LOL*

I am trying my hardest to use up my stash of thickers so there might be some layouts with awkward titles coming up...*LOL*

This layout was based on the January sketch challenge at Purple Pumpkin by Lizzy Hill.

Circa

Celebrate-at-circa

You may have noticed that I've been scrapping a lot about food lately. Yep. I'm really into food porn....people who dine with me know they can't start eating till I have a picture taken...*LOL*

If you happen to be in Melbourne, you must dine at Circa at St Kilda's. The food is exquisite. I am notorious for sending food back when it's not done properly and I didn't have to...that says something eh? [Yeah...I'm thinking I may have ingested a disgruntled chef or two's spit...but seriously, when I ask for medium rare, you don't serve me something totally overdone, right? *winks*]

This layout was based on the December sketch challenge over at Purple Pumpkin. Come play along for your chance to win some yummy goodies at the store!

For the love of pizza...

For-the-love-of-pizza

Last month, I met my sister for lunch TWICE at this new pizza place called Mad for Garlic. Yep, if there were ever a vampire apocalypse, this is the place to flee to because of all the garlic...*LOL*

Oh yeah, we really love pizza! *winks*
I did my photo collage in Photoshop and decided to add some digi elements. Huge time saver....:)

Then, just add some textures...fabric buttons, washi tape and twine from Purple Pumpkin, stickers from SRM Stickers and Blue Fern Studios chipboard!

This was based on the November sketch challenge at Purple Pumpkin.

P/s: Please play along with my guest Sandie's challenge and LESSology Challenge #30: Kitchen Raid!

Guess who loves bags and purses? *winks*

Cute-stuff

My niece S takes after me when it comes to the love of bags and purses. *winks* Seriously. Hand her one and just watch her play with it for hours. She likes to check herself out in the mirror too! *LOL*

I went hybrid with this layout. The elements on the photo are digital. [Gotta love One Buck Wednesday at Jessica Sprague!]

Punched out photos of the little cutie. [You might be seeing lots of her...she's in her "clingy" stage so she follows me everywhere...*LOL*]

Love the fabulous fabric bloom and music flair button from Purple Pumpkin. :)

Doing a hybrid layout is great way to have fun details on your layout while keeping it quite flat. :)

I used this month's sketch at Purple Pumpkin. Come play along! :)

P/s:  Last week to play along with my guest Ashley's patterned paper challenge and LESSology Challenge #29: BirthdayParty.
