An ode to SRM Stickers

Hello friends. Can't believe that just a year ago, my wish to be on the SRM Stickers design team came true. You know how much I love my SRM Stickers.*winks* I've had an awesome year playing with the SRM range of products. :)

Like the fun tubes, clear boxes and vinyl!

Or the burlap bags, the kraft pillow boxes, the clear purse and the kraft and glassine bags!

A big shoutout to my bloggy pal, Annette Allen for making the SRM Stickers team this year! :)

And thank you to Susan for the oppotunity to play with your fabulous products! :)

P/s: Happy weekend my friends! I know I am soooooooo way behind in returning blog visits but I've been having connectivity issues...thank goodness my tech guy [aka dad] is coming back from vacation tonight...*winks*

My last project for SRM Stickers

Littlest nephew J loves to draw and colour. It's the only time he can sit still for 30 minutes or so...*winks*

This is my last project for SRM Stickers as part of the current design team. I kept it really simple...the background was created with mists and The Crafter's Workshop stencil. I used a SRM doiley as a mat for my photo.

I cut apart a polka-dot sticker strip for the little dots and added some enamel dots for texture. The title work is an SRM Sticker too. :)

Happy weekend friends! :)

Currently loving....the kraft pillow boxes from SRM

Decorated-kraft-pillow-boxes-for-SRM-Stickers

So I was more than a tad excited when I got the new additions to the SRM store - the kraft pillow boxes! These are quick and easy to dress up! :)

I stamped the medium kraft pillow box with a Paper Smooches stamp set, then added a SRM "thank you" sticker to a scallop diecut.

For the small kraft pillow box, I made some folds with the scallop die cuts for a fun embellishment and added a sticker strip at the base.

Everything I used except for the stamps and ink, are available at the SRM Store.

Pretty blooms in a jam jar?

If you have seen my craft desk, you would know that I love clear storage. So when I got these clear tubes from SRM Stickers, the first thought that came to mind was "oooh...new storage!" *LOL*

Since I try to "pretty" up my storage to fit my room decor, I added some crochet blooms and leaves to the top and added a strip of SRM Sticker.

Then I put them in an old jam jar. Now it looks like a pretty vase of blooms..but it holds my beads. *winks*

What about you? Do you try to pretty up your storage containers?

The one about the stinky tofu and sweet desserts

So last March, I tried stinky tofu [aka fermented tofu]  for the first time when I was in Taiwan with my family. Now, I've heard a lot about the stench...described by many as a cross between burning garbage and body odour...which was very strong when it was being cooked...but didn't smell that bad when the dish was served up though.

It was actually quite good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. But I suppose it's not for the faint-hearted. As you know, I'm quite adventurous when it comes to food....*winks*

We did wash it all down with a couple of sweet desserts a couple of stores down the street. :)

Just a super quick layout for SRM Stickers. Happy weekend my friends!

Oh baby bags for SRM Stickers

Do you know that SRM offers fun DIY kits for putting together quick gift packaging? I played with the DIY baby shower kit. :)

Since the glassine bags are pre-embossed, all I did was fold the flap, adhere the doiley and sticker Then add twine to complete the bag.

You could add your own embellishments to make your glassine bags even more special. But I used everything from the kit and got these two done in like 5 minutes.:)

Psst... SRM is currently having a design team call. They carry a huge range of stickers, doilies, vinyl, containers, twine and calendars. Go get your applications in! :)

P/s: Happy weekend friends!:)

Your weekend project: Mini card set using SRM Stickers

I love that you can whip out a gift of love really quickly with SRM Stickers. :) Here is my set of mini cards in a box!

1. Measure, cut, score and round corners of cardstock base. Adhere paper doiley and stickers to each card.
2. Put the cards in the SRM mini box.
3. Adhere stickers to envelopes.
4. Put the box and envelopes together. Tie a bow. All done.

P/s: Happy weekend friends! :)

Playing with some vinyl...

Vinyl-gift-box-for-SRM-Stickers5

Do you know that SRM Stickers now sells vinyl? I put some gold ones work to work with my new Spellbinders die. :)

Perfect for a gift box filled with yummy chocolates. :)

I created an insert which I covered with lace [love my Xyron 5" Creative Station for this..:)] for texture and interest.

It's a great way to "hide" the present. *winks*

Please check out the SRM Stickers blog for more ideas on using vinyl. :)

P/s: Happy weekend friends!

Happy birthday gift set for SRM Stickers

Birthday-gift-set

So I've been having fun making gift sets of late.:) Especially with the new additions at SRM Stickers.

Like the muslin bag. I added some ribbon to the bottom and just adhered stickers. All done in like 2 minutes!

And the new Mini Box. Of course, the chocolates have been eaten. Immediately after the photos were taken....*winks* [What? You are not supposed to eat the props? *LOL*]

Then I thought it would be fun to use SRM Take 2 Birthday Stickers on a camera image. I used some light modeling paste with a Crafter's Workshop stencil....and then just added ribbon and stickers. :)

Everything fits nicely into the muslin bag and it's a very quick way to whip up a handmade gift set! :)
