A mixed media tag for Imaginarium Designs

Today I'm sharing my last project as this month's guest designer over at Imaginarium Designs - a mixed media tag.

I started this tag by using the negative chipboard as a mask and applying light modeling paste on watercolour paper.

When that dried, I painted gold paint all over before adding a layer of glass bead gel. The flourish chipboard was painted with gold paint while the clock face and beautiful chippies were painted with Silks glazes for an iridescent shine.

Then I created a cluster with all the embellishments. :)

The one where we chased chickens...

Delightful-layout-for-Imaginarium-Designs

Hello there friends! Today I'm sharing my second project as this month's guest designer over at Imaginarium Designs - a 12x12 layout featuring the niece and nephews. :)

The textures on the chipboard were created by applying thick, uneven layers on gesso before colouring them with Ranger Distress Paints. Then I added some fun Purple Pumpkin embellishments.

We had a fun morning chasing a neighbour's chickens and taking photos along the way. Can you tell that nephew J just woke up and couldn't be coaxed to smile for the camera? *LOL*

P/s: Those chickens were fast..I couldn't get a picture of them! *winks*

Cherished treasures mixed media canvas for Imaginarium Designs

Cherished-treasures-canvas

This month, I am the guest designer over at Imaginarium Designs. :) Here is my first project - a 6x6 mixed media canvas.

The base of the canvas was covered with remnant pieces of white lace. Then gessoed. Found metal pieces were then adhered to the base with gel medium. Once the surface was dry, I added some Silks glazes over it. Then finished with a spritz of silver mist which trickled down the uneven surfaces and created depth.

I painted the Cherished Treasures chipboard with gesso and a coat of silver paint. Then added the blooms and some mica flakes to finish the canvas.

What do you think?
