The convenience factor...

An-awesome-day

So it turns out that I may be the super lazy kind of crafter. The bulk of my supplies used to be conveniently located at the doorway, just outside my bedroom. It wasn't a case of "out of sight, out of mind" since they are in open baskets which I see every single time I enter/leave my room. And yet, I find myself rummaging through supplies on my desk to complete my projects, neglecting the bulk of good stuff outside.

These days I've been using my punches a lot more simply because they are now conveniently located within my room after a recent supply reorganization [Hmmmm...I could potentially have a smaller butt if I did more "shopping" along my doorway! *LOL*]....

Just a layout of my niece and nephew. I was inspired by the sketch at Creative Scrappers and the song at Scrapping the Music.

Supplies: Basic Grey patterned papers, Crafter's Workshop template, Maya mists, Fiskars corner punch, EK Success circle punch, Imaginisce chipboard, SRM stickers, American Crafts foam thickers, Black Sharpie, buttons, black pen, white pen.

*Edited* This layout was a winner at Scrapping The Music. :)

I think I have the same serious level of 'out-of-sight, out-of-mind' disease when it comes to crafting supplies and tools. All my tools scattered in the four corners of my apartment..I barely use them except my Big Shot that's lying on the floor..lol...Gorgeous layout, check, diagonal and scallop motifs are brilliantly incorporated together...!

Love your page, Yvonne! Scrounging from supplies already on your desk, or getting up to search for others....either way, this is fabulous! Love that background. You do create the best backgrounds! Love the little birds and the scalloped borders and love the pop of black!

Hi Yvonne! It's great to hop over to your blog - it's been too long (appologies appologies...) I love your latest layout! What you said about your butt made me giggle... mine is getting too fat too from sitting at the computer. Ha, I'd better go for a walk while it is still dry outside (since I live in the Netherlands, I have the 'rain excuse' most of the times, but today it's sunny... what sort of excuse can I think of now to stay at the computer??? Hmmm...)

Hehehe. I love your sense of humor! Its always so nice to visit your blog when I sit down with my coffee first thing in the morning and see what you have written and created. Love the misting on your page and the circles and outlining with a pen on your photos. Have a good day!

Whether it's laziness or not I don't know, but scrounging for stuff on your desk TOTALLY works for you. Your layouts are always gorgeous!

Yvonne you are so funny!! I can't wait to meet you IRL soon!!! I love this layout! It has STUNNING appeal! I am just as lazy as you - I don't even want to open the cupboard doors so the things I use the most are out on the shelves & I'm seriously considering removing the doors :))))
