Happy birthday Karen! :)



Life is a party canvas

Today I'm joining some talented crafters in a virtual birthday party for my bloggy pal Karen Baker! Happy birthday Karen! :) [12x12 canvas created for LESSology Challenge #4: Wall Art.]


Karen loves nature so I think she would enjoy a little outdoor party! :)

It's all about me box

Of course there must be a present for the birthday girl! :)


I decorated a coaster box with a tri-fold insert so that Karen can create a mini album about herself. :)

Canvas supplies: Old book paper (Gauche Alchemy), gesso, paint, crackle paint, gel medium, texture paste, Crafter's Workshop woodgrain stencil, mini birdcage, faux leaves, moss, twine, copics, googly eye.

Box supplies: Coaster box, Simple Stories Baby Steps patterned paper and stickers, May Arts ribbon (all from Your Scrapbook Stash), pearls, button, corrugated cardboard, kraft cardstock.

    your tree texture, giraffe and cute bird cage make such an cute scene--also, love how you've done the sentiment!

    Wow! What fabulous projects, Yvonne! LOVE that giraffe wall art! Beautiful! The texture on the foliage is just fantastic. Love the hanging birdcage, too. And gorgeous coaster set for Karen! Love the sentiment and those sweet owls. :)

    I don't think I've purely had a mini album ever, and certainly not one made for me! How awesome is that???!!!! Thank you so much for joining in on this party, you sure make a girl feel liked! I adore the project you did for Lessology. One of my favorite pictures of me and my oldest son is at the zoo, when he is just a wee one and is staring and pointing at a beautiful tall majestic giraffe.
