So my friend C gave me this really lovely leafy background stamp which I never got to using because
- I didn't have an acrylic block big enough for it [yeah, a totally lame excuse *LOL*]
- Background stamping is scary....what if I miss a spot?
Guess what? It wasn't that scary...so I missed a couple of spots [er...kind of expected *LOL*]....strategically covered by the pretty doily. And I still don't have an acrylic block big enough for the stamp - I pressed the kraft cardstock on the inked stamp. :)
Supplies: Lily Bee, Pebbles and Basic Grey patterned paper, Crate Paper chipboard, Jillibean stickers, I/O stamp, White Stazon, Maya Road ribbon, doiley, tulle, kraft cardstock.
Inspired by CPS.

ReplyDeletefabby card, yvonne! love the bkgd stamping and that big doily!
ReplyDeleteLooks FABulous...love those sweet birds you've been using lately.
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful! Here's a tip for stamping bg stamps or other large stamps clearly. Let your fingers do the walking! Pull out your phone book and stamp using it as a base. Those padded pages help "sink" the image onto the paper. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this card, Yvonne! Such a fun combo and a fabulous design. And way to rock the background stamp. :)
ReplyDeleteI love what you did....you made it look so simple though I am aware the it is pretty scary.Love the doiley, the bird and the flower and also the cute little climber.....and also the way you made it look ike the bird is saying Hello.Very crisp creation.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Love all the layers!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! BTW, there are a ton of things you can use in place of an acrylic block. I like to use a Pyrex baking dish- it's clear, large and sturdy.
ReplyDelete:) Its a beauty! I love the way all elements have been layered in this one..
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, nice background and love all the embellishements !!!
ReplyDeletePaula
beautiful background and card. I rarely use an acrylic block for my largest background stamps. I just set them right side up on the table and place my paper on top of them and rub with my fingers or use a brayer.
ReplyDeletebeautiful outcome I say!
