There's something appealing about scrapping those family photos before your time. There's always something interesting in the foreground that gives hint to the era in which the picture was taken...:)
My layout features my mother and my older brother spending some quality time in the park.
Patterned papers, foam letters, ribbon, trim are from American Crafts. Pink wrinkle ribbon. Tag and baker's twine (thanks Amy C!). Stickles (on the title work). Fancy Pants chipboard. Maya mist (on the chipboard). Vintage button. EK Success punch.
I find myself a little obsessed with these pretty wrinkle ribbon that Sherry sent me...they add such a lovely texture to any project...:)
So, how about a little giveaway? I'm sending ONE lucky person US$15 worth of these yummy goodness. Check out these fabulous colours! :)

This is really an amazing giveaway! ((: i haven't gotten around working with seam bindings on my projects but hope to get started soon of course hehe. i'm currently obsessed with collecting a few things in particular- washi tapes (love them, so much flexibility in using them on almost everything), ribbons (because i can not only use them for bows but to make flowers!) and yes patterned paper (because patterned paper itself is not just background for our works but they can be cut and punched to create amazing patterns and embellishments even!)
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to win, this is so exciting (:

ReplyDeleteFirst, the lo is so pretty - the first thing that caught my eye (besides the pic) was the ribbon, those roses are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteNow on to my obsession...it is the color aqua mist or really any shade of turquoise. I really think I am going to have to change the title of my blog to Aqua Obsessed or something similar. Every time I start a project I am instantly drawn to the same color. Let's face the facts though, Aqua Mist is the best because it goes with every color. I think maybe it needs to be established as a neutral in 2011. Now I have to admit, this obsession has also carried over beyond the craft room...My bathroom is now painted a shade of aqua mist :>).
Girl, this page is AWESOME!!! LOVE everything about it. Different than what I've seen which makes me love it more!!
ReplyDeleteOnce again you have created a masterpiece. I love what you have done with this old photo of your brother and Mom.

ReplyDeleteMy latest obsession is trying to find time to clean and organize my scrapping area so I can get back to my real obsession which is scrapbooking our Disney trips!!! :)

I just love all of the fun colors in this layout - I have such fond memories as a child and now as a mom about going to the park - great idea!
