Thursday's desk- the last week in eye drawings
Tuesday
From the gratitude journal: the one about the yummy tiramisu
Last month, I had the most yummy tiramisu ever...at an Italian restaurant called Opera at Park Hyatt Saigon Hotel. It was so good that I had it again this month. *winks*
Monday
Make Stuff Monday - a decorated paperbag for last week's decorated box
In today's Make Stuff Monday, I'm sharing a decorated paper bag to match last week's decorated box. :)
I kept everything fairly flat and simple for easy storage. And finished off with some gold mist of course!
P/s: Happy week ahead friends! :)
Friday
A decorated gift box on a Friday
Went to pick up some skincare for my cousin's birthday and it came in a nice sturdy box...which you know I just had to decorate, right? *winks*
I kept everything relatively flat because my cousin has amassed a huge collection of decorated gift boxes over the years of Christmas and birthday pressies. *LOL*
Wednesday
Workspace Wednesday - a green eye from the sketchbook
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a green eye from the sketchbook for Workspace Wednesday. :) Love that I'm halfway through this sketchbook. Hope you are finding time in your schedule to do something that makes you happy. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Tuesday
This week's Tuesday's page from the gratitude journal
It's always lovely to receive flowers even when you can enjoy them for a few days only. This page is all about the bouquet I got when I stayed Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh last month. :)
Monday
Monday's desk - an overstuffed scrapbook album
So this gal finally ordered a scrapbook album to organise her stack of completed layouts. There wasn't quite enough refill pages so she put in an order and Amazon delivered it today! And so she was a happy duck with all the scrapbook layouts organised chronologically...
Until she found another pile of completed layouts that haven't been homed yet.
And now the gal has an overstuffed scrapbook album. *LOL*
P/s: Happy week ahead friends!
Friday
Friday's Florals - today's quick five-minute play with watercolours
Happy Friday friends! Still haven't quite got back into the daily watercolour florals schedule yet. But did play for 5 minutes today just to share this with you. *winks*
Yes, I like to paint fast, wet in wet (add more colours while the paint is still wet) and without a sketch. Sometimes my flowers are wonky and my leaves are haphazardly placed but for that 5 minutes, I just paint intuitively and enjoy the process.
P/s: It helps that I live in a hot climate...everything dries very fast! :)
Thursday
Another week, another Tiffany blue decorated paperbag
Yes friends, nnother week, another Tiffany blue decorated paperbag. :)
Have you noticed that I have been incorporating a lot of paper tearing of late? I really enjoy the texture it adds (and sometimes the gal is just too lazy to get her scissors...*LOL*)
Hope you are having a great Thursday friends!
Wednesday
Workspace Wednesday - another hand-lettered journal cover
This week's Workspace Wednesday edition features another hand-letters journal cover (because I had so much fun with the first one..*winks*). Yep, that would be me doodling some stars and attempting some fancy lettering with one word (baby steps...hahaha!)
Tuesday
Tuesday's gratitude page
This girl recently scored a free Lamy fountain pen. :) Of course she has to go buy some ink to actually use it...but she's still grateful for a new pen. *winks*
Monday
Make Stuff Monday - a quick upcycled box
Happy happy Monday friends! Haven't decorated a box in a while...so I really had fun with this small box. Even my gold mist came out to play! :)
I started with this sturdy box that had a lovely floral patterned background...so I just made a collage to cover the text.
What do you think?
Friday
Friday's florals - this week's quick play with watercolours
Haven't quite got back to the daily watercolour floral painting yet....did manage to do ONE this week..which is better than zero *LOL*.
Happy weekend friends! :)
Thursday
What the Yams ate on 21 July
Yes friends, the girl is still cooking for the folks on a daily basis.
Time and practice do make a person more competent in the kitchen..I spend less time and have less stress cooking because competence makes one more flexible. If I don't have all the ingredients, I just improvise. If someone brings home a food source that's almost dying, I will change my plans and "save" said food source from the jaws of death. *winks*
When time permits, I may spend a little longer on the meal. When I'm pressed for time, I go with the one pot meal. And my fave is turning leftovers into a totally new dish. *LOL*
Wednesday
Workspace Wednesday - hand lettered journal cover
Happy Wednesday friends! Decided to do some hand lettering on a journal the other day using my Posca acrylic paint markers. It was super fun and quite therapeutic. :)
P/s: I may or may not have hand lettered more journal covers.... *winks*
Tuesday
Guess who got nail extensions for the first time? *winks*
Yep...that would be me! Decided to just give gel nail extensions a go when I was in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam last month. I have always wondered what they would be like since I can never grow out my nails to a substantial length before they get chipped.
I did get shorter extensions because I still had to cook and do household chores. *winks*
Monday
Make Stuff Monday - just another decorated paper bag
Well friends, are you sick of these Tiffany blue decorated paper bags yet? Because there are just 2 more to go! *winks*
