It is out of practical necessity. There's a need to leave behind some documentation of present life for future generations BUT not mountains of scrapbook pages with a single photo.[Okay....scrapbook albums are really expensive too!]
But I get my single photo fix by using my fave photos on altered art for home decor.
Like this 9x14 canvas featuring my fave photo of my nephews and niece in 2013. Okay, it was the ONLY photo I took last year that had all of them smiling and looking at the camera...*LOL*
I went a little overboard with the mesh tape...but I did make a little dent in my bloom and leaf stash...*High fives all around* :)

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I am having an ah-ha moment after reading your post! I have been notorious for scrapping single photo layouts these days and I'm thinking I need to start adding more photos! I never really thought about where all my layouts are going to go! Silly I know, but I guess I'm just too busy thinking about scrapping!! I love the texture and the scene you painted on the canvas! Gorgeous!
