So this is the first time I've spent sooooooooo much time upcycling a cereal container. Yep, it's just ONE container! *LOL*
The base of the container was covered up with scraps of old book paper, then painted it with a coat of gesso...After that I misted and stamped on the container before adding the fussy-cut pieces from a Graphics 45 patterned paper.
Each image was coated distress glitter and glossy accents for really cool texture.

ReplyDeleteWowwwwwwwwwww!! But it LOOKS AMAZING!! LOL!!! You ain't gonna believe this ... but I have been working on an altered project ALL WEEK and it's still not done!! I usually finish it all in one day ... but I ran out of time this past weekend ... so I have been chipping away at it a little bit after work each day!!! Almost there! LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteIt is definitely worth every minute you invested in that recycled project. Not only did you save it from the trash, you turned it into something totally awesome. Hope you're going to find a plastic or glass container that fits inside and put oatmeal cookies in it. It would be a perfect ending to your upscale project.
