One of my fave ways to save time is to work with backgrounds I've previously created with residual mists. I will go "shopping" in my stack of messy backgrounds...like this one. :)
You may have noticed that I don't particularly work with masculine colours for boy layouts or sweet colours for girl layouts. I just go with colours that I like at that moment and just pull a few more colours from the photos to achieve a cohesive feel. [Haven't got arrested by the scrapbook police for using pink on boy layouts yet...*LOL*]
P/s: This week I get to reveal my super secret project! *winks*
*Edited* This layout made Top 3 at Scrap it with a song.
Messy is Good Yvonne, and this background is sooo creative. Nothing wrong with pink for boys lol... Love it ! I also love the photo of your adorable nephews :) x

ReplyDeleteSooooooooo gorgeous!! I am IN LOVE with that background!! WOW!!
ReplyDeleteThe back ground is so cool.. The fact that you do not use the so-called associated boy-girl color combo to make your backgrounds makes your work stand out.. I finally purchased my first template.. let's see how well I can use it!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm not worried about the scrap police, but I do think twice before going too girly on boy pages for fear they'll hate them or be embarrassed by them when they're older. This is gorgeous though - who wouldn't love it?!
