So, are you the sort who glues everything down at the very end? Or as you go along?
I would fiddle with a few elements and once I'm happy with the placement, I adhere them to the base. Personally, I find that with the main elements glued down, I finish a card much faster because I have fewer elements to play with [unless I want to rip a hole in the card *LOL*]. Then I would add a little bit of texture and dimension for interest...like the twine and chipboard here.

What about you? When do you glue everything down? At the very end or as you go along?
Lovely card. I am like you I glue most as I go then add little bits here and there.
ReplyDeleteWhen making a card I lay down each element as I go, starting with the base of the card. On layouts I put it together and then once I know where the layout is going I glue it down.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! LOVING that twine and the colors!! And I put it down and adhere it as I go :)
ReplyDeleteI never glue down my pieces until I am sure about my final design and that's why I tend to take a lllooong time to make a single card :(..your card looks beautiful !! I love how you use your pattern papers ...you make the best use of them :)
ReplyDeleteI think I fidle around with the different elements first, then I might glue down the bigger pices of paper and the rest as I go along. ( well, some times I might leave the whole thing until the day after to see if I have changed my mind :P )
ReplyDeletebtw your colourful card looks awsom, love the twine on top
Have a good one :)
this is just so cute...
ReplyDeleteUsed to do it at the end,but these days I'm more 'what the heck'...it can go down there & I'll work around it'...also, if I don't I forget where it looks good!!!! LOVE the string on this one:):):)
ReplyDeleteHey Yvonne Beautiful card ! The chip board goes beautifully with the banner and pp..I liked the rub on too !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!! I usually get all my elements finished and placed, then start adhering. ~ Blessings, Tracey

Most of the time I glue as I go - it's when I don't that I end up fiddling forever, you're right! I love how the colours pop agains the kraft - and that bitty chipboard at the centre of the bow totally looks like a fabric button! It's gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI pretty much glue down as I go along, or else it'll take forever :). Love your gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteHmmm- depends really...I tend to add the main bits first like you - then fiddle about with more embellishing after. Lovely card here too BTW! Listen I've just tried to link my Lessology entry - I forgot to link up when I first published the post earlier this week - oops, sorry!! But I have Facebooked about it to make up for it, and I've gone in and edited my post & linked up to your Charming challenge. I did do the layout with it in mind, which is why I used the string (as my recycled item) but my name is not showing on the linky list & when I try to load it again it says it already exists. Be a dear & let me know if I need to try again later...xo
ReplyDeleteLove the color against the kraft. I glue after I've layed everything down!
ReplyDeleteErmmmm for me it depends... Mixture of both... usually i'll glue the main things first and go along with the rest :)
ReplyDeleteLovely card.. I start gluing as soon as i start.. sometimes even regretting it if i want to add a brad or a ribbon later on..
ReplyDeleteI usually do a dry run first but if I am certain I want it there I will glue it straight away.. it guess it depends on how confident I am about it. Love your card! I really like the twine and the crate paper chipboard button! I love how you used the rubon having it on the echo paper and card base and the sentiment makes me smile. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLovely card! I learned the hard way when it comes to gluing. I use to glue first and after making some errors resorted to placement first, then glue!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely one who puts the card all together and then glues it down. No wonder it takes me so long to do a card.
ReplyDeleteYour card looks fabulous..
Hugs~
You are such an inspiration Yvonne! You post is always fun and yet educational. Lovely card!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLike Linda, glue is the last step!
This is amazing Yvonne. I love the card
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI glue at the very end. I never understand how people can glue midway through! I really admire it, but I can't do it!
ReplyDeleteso cute and sweet! lovely card, Yvonne! I glue everything down at the end, it could take me a while to finally commit to the design. i am a little annal on that. ha!
