The most tiring walk of my life.
So last weekend I took the most tiring walk of my life. The distance I covered? About 800 metres. *LOL* Yep. My neighbours have very interesting "features" in their gardens...birds, turtles, fish, rabbits, spa pool...all which children (aka nephews) are excited to see even if they've seen it many times before.
The thing is my niece can't walk yet so she has to be carried [nope my brother did not provide a pram!]. Littlest nephew J is too short to look over the fence [bottom half concrete wall, upper half fence] so he has to be lifted every time we walk by an "interesting" feature. Nephew #2 is not tall enough to look over the fence even on tippy toes so I have to lift him up too! Nephew #1 is too small to help carry any of his siblings. And I seriously need to build up upper body strength [insert scene where I am diligently pumping iron to develop Madonna-like arms...*LOL*]
Certainly a far cry from taking an idyllic stroll at the Royal Botanic Garden...*LOL*
Check out these Walgreen coupons for some awesome deals on stickers! My fave go-to embellishment! :) A two-page spread inspired by the challenge at Frosted Designs to use kraft paper.

ReplyDeleteThe walk may not have been the best, but your lo is fabulous! Just so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThis layout is just right! The little train just looks meant to be there.
ReplyDeleteLOL about your walk with the 4 kiddos. I remember the time I took my 3 into a sunflower field maze. My sons were 2 and although they could walk 1 was afraid of the bees and the other got tired. I am used to holding both at once, but not for such distances. What a work out - I didn't think we were ever going to find the way out!!!

ReplyDeleteOh I love this! Had a chuckle at your text - sure it's twice as long to do anything with kiddies in tow - and twice as much effort too - but they must love you for it!!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I bet that was tiring! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your layout! So many fun little details to check out. Love the map and love the clouds and stitched button sun. Really like the torn-paper hills at the bottom, too.
Oh I completely understand needing to build up upper body strength:) Carrying kids around = lactic acid burn (sorry that was the nurse in me:D )...I love how your page packed a punch: photos, maps, trains, ducks! So cute!
ReplyDeleteThis layout is just so appealing, Yvonne! I love seeing all the adventures you had with your sweet nephews. Your layout is so clever!
