My guest today is the lovely Lynn Miller of Millers Ink. Lynn's designs are truly timeless. Her work really epitomizes classic vintage elegance with the use of kraft as her signature. I love that Lynn is big on using scraps and recycling with found items around her home. Today she shares how she restores an old wreath without spending a single cent! She's also hosting an awesome challenge with a fabulous prize for the winner! :)
Let's have a look at her beautiful gallery! :)
hi, I’m lynn miller, and I’m from avon, indiana, (just outside of indianapolis),
where i live with my husband and son in a very small, but cozy home, (which is currently being remodeled).
I love papercrafts, shabby decorating, junking for old stuff.
today, I thought I’d share my latest recycled project . I used
my papercraft scraps to update a tired, old wreath. here it is before.
first, I stripped off the burgundy flowers, jade green filler and pink ribbon, and then, added
some scraps of my seam binding, lace bits, a piece of tulle, and finished it off with 4 large cream flowers-(that I plucked from an old topiary).
here is the “after” wreath, hanging in it’s new spot, in my entryway. I love that I was able to do this without spending money, and my scrap pile went down.
so, now, it’s your turn—just make a card, page, or 3-d project with something recycled on it and you mightwill win a papertrey ink’s limited edition “iconic images” stamp set!
