Another week of eye drawings...happy holidays!

This year has been particularly challenging for me...both in terms of mental and physical health. However, there were so many things that I did do that I'm proud of.

Like keeping up with my eye drawings and watercolour floral paintings.

And I did not fall behind on the memory-keeping front either...the family scrapbook is up-to-date! *high fives all around*

Thanks for keeping me company on this journey called life friends. Adulting is hard.

I hope you spend the last 10 days of the year doing things you enjoy, in the company of people you love. Happy holidays! See you in 2024!

Spending time with my folks

These days I just bring the folks along when I head to town to run errands. :)

They still love to head to the Loccitane counter to apply the hand cream after a visit to the loo, *LOL*

Of course, the troublemaker (aka dad) will give you a sad face even when he gets a sweet treat. *winks*

Having a play with pinks and blues on this layout....

Happy week ahead friends! :)

Workspace Wednesday - my Loccitane advent calendar

This year I got myself the Loccitane advent calendar...isn't she pretty? *high fives all around*

They launched 2 versions this year - the regular box version and the reusable version. I went with the reusable version because ....

....it is actually a toiletries bag! :)

Such a clever design this year. Can't wait to use it on my next trip.

What about you? Did you get yourself an advent calendar this year?

The one about the day out in town with mum

The other day, dad went to attend a friend's daughter's wedding and mum wanted to go shopping. So we had a mother-daughter day out in town.

It was so crowded everywhere. We could hardly find a place to sit and rest...the malls in Singapore definitely need to provide more seating areas for families to rest while shopping.

We finally found seats at cafe #4. Mum couldn't even wait. She saw a vacant table and went to sit down immediately....while I did the official queuing. *LOL*

We were so hungry and tired at this point....but wait, we need to scan the QR code to see the menu, "join" the restaurant's program, order the food and pay before we got served. I really miss the good old days of flipping a physical menu and having a waiter take my order...and paying at the end of a meal.

You would think that it's a cheap meal but it was $60 (including tax and service charge) for a chicken focaccia sandwich and a sticky date pudding.

Things are getting really expensive these days. Is it the same in your neck of the woods?

This week's page from the Gratitude Journal

This week's page from the gratitude journal features my first Mansur Gavriel mini cloud clutch.:) I've had my eye on this bag for a while and finally decided to purchase it in the summer online sale. It's a really simple bag made from lambskin leather with a magnetic closure and it can be worn with its strap or as a clutch purse.

P/s: I used to like big bags since I like to bring lots of stuff. But these days, I've been going for smaller bags with just the bare essentials.

Thursday's quick project - decorated Christmas envelope

Happy Thursday friends! Thursday's quick project is a decorated Christmas envelope that is postal-friendly. :)

Keeping everything relatively flat with stickers, washi tape and fussy-cut bits.

How are your Christmas preparations going? I've actually given out the pressies..and have been enjoying the 2 skincare advent calendars I bought for myself. But the Christmas decor is still in storage. *LOL*

Tuesday's page from the gratitude journal - spa day

Who loves a good spa day? Me! I always find time to enjoy a spa day when I travel to Hanoi. This spa that I frequent has a signature 4-in-1 massage which combines Vietnamese traditional massage, Thai stretching massage. Swedish aromatherapy massage and hot stone massage.

Do you know that some people can sleep during a massage? Not this gal though. I'm usually in pain during the massage (I hold a lot of tension in my body)....but once it's done, I'm relaxed all day and sleep like a baby.

Last birthday celebration of the year

Last month, we had the last Yam birthday celebration of the year - nephew #1's birthday!:)

We went out for lunch at a nearby mall and came home to cut a store-bought birthday cake. Yep, this year I only baked my sister's birthday cake back in January. *LOL*

As always, a mist mash of random packaging, stickers and scrap bits. :)

Happy week ahead friends! :)

Friday's desk- this week's page from the gratitude journal

Happy Friday friends! Can you believe that it's the last month of the year? This whole week just whizzed by...I hardly had time to breathe properly with both old folks down with Covid. 3 meals a day to prep and serve is no joke.

But I did have time today to actually work in my gratitude journal (yay!) which features my new bunny bedspread! You know how this girl is into pink and bunnies. *winks*

Enjoy your weekend!
