Hello friends! Happy Wednesday! Just sharing the florals I painted today! :)
It's been rather therapeutic putting together quick pages in my gratitude journal. It is really the little things in life that bring us joy. I know people like to document the good, the bad and the ugly. But I just focus on the good. Let's stack the positives in life! :)
Saw the Silkie Chicken at the zoo recently...so I tried drawing one in coloured pencil on grey toned paper. :)
Was just at the Kaisercraft outlet store today and decided to treat myself to some new dies. I was prepared to spend $30 on 3 dies but the cashier told me that they were 1/2 off at $5 each so I picked up 3 more! *winks*
P/s: Catch them in action on a future project!
Happy Wednesday friends! Just sharing another decorated glassine bag. :)
I've really been into using these skincare packaging as a "mat" for my embellishment cluster. It is sturdy and already has a rounded edge. :)
Still trying to use up this stack of white notecards from the scrap pile. Just using scrap bits, washi tape and diets. Finished with gold mist of course. :)
And there you have it...Tuesday's quick project from the scrap pile.:)
Just a super quick one this Friday. Took 15 minutes. Including drying time. :)
Enjoy your weekend friends!
This gal found a glassine bag and just had to decorate it! *winks*
Yes...these days I love to use box packaging. :)
Happy Wednesday friends! With time for crafting being so limited these days it's been about batch processing for me. I like to work on the same substrate and make variations on the designs. Here are last week's projects I made just chilling after a spritz of gold mist. :)
Late last year, I bought the Hobonichi Techo 2023 daily planner with the intent to journal everyday. Except I totally forgot about this planner. I do take an insane number of photos possibly every day so I decided to make this into my Gratitude Journal. The size is just perfect for my square photo sticker with a little room for flat decor and a bit of journaling.
What about you? Do you have a Gratitude Journal?
Yep...I started this portrait painting back in May 2020...as part of a trio of paintings of my Aussie pal Lizzy's grandsons. I finished 2 of them but lost steam when it came to #3. Glad that I got it out of the projects-half-done pile and got it done! *high five all around*
So we went to Din Tai Fung for an early dinner after mum's appointment at the hospital about the results of her thyroid ultrasound. One of the nodules has shrank significantly while the other remained the same size. Since she's not experiencing any discomfort, we will review in another 6 months. :)
Here are the folks with the obligatory shot for the scrapbook...before the arrival of the food. *winks*
Apparently mum has been to this restaurant with my sister previously and knew what to order!
These days I'm into this one bowl meals for lunch so that the picky one (aka dad) knows that all the food he's going to get is in his bowl. *LOL*
This week I wanted to do a variation (with minced pork) of the Poke bowl (traditionally raw fish) we had the other day since dad seemed to enjoy it a lot (but cost me $40 for a meal that was eaten out of disposables).
The folks really enjoyed it...so it might be one of those meals on rotation. :)
I thought that I had exhausted my envelope stash...
Hello friends! Really miss the daily eye sketches with coloured pencils now that I've completed 2 sketchbooks...so I painted an eye in.watercolour and refined it with coloured pencils! Super fun! :)
Have a great week ahead!
Still a bit rough at the edges...but it's been fun getting back to watercolour florals. And a bit challenging to get it done in 30 minutes. But that's all the time I have these days until I get settled into the new routine.
Enjoy your weekend friends!:)
