Pie plate #4

Follow your heart pie plate layout

Here is Plate #4 in my wall of decorated plates. It features my parents. The plates are actually different sizes but the backgrounds are done the same way to create continuity across the plates [torn-up old book paper, gesso and Faber Castell gelatos].

I love that everything on it comes from my "save-it-for-a-rainy-day" stash...
A really great way to use up those random bits and bobs...odd-size tulle, pearls bits, ice-cream stick, packaging material...:)

P/s: Happy weekend friends! :)

I am so going to use this plate idea to gift my mom a wall of hers on her birthday! but I am sure with the 'speedy crafter' like me she will have to wait for an year or so!!;)

Love this plate with your parents. You will need to take a photo of the wall where they are so we can see them all together.

Love this, Yvonne. My favorite little detail is the gathered tulle.. that's weird I guess, but just love the transparency while still adding such interest and depth.
