Monday

Fun with shrink plastic....a super short tutorial! :)

Today I held you for the first time

Happy Monday friends! I wanted to document the first time I held my niece S. :)
And had fun playing with shrink plastic while working on this layout! Check out those little fluttering butterflies! :) I did take some photos so here's a super short tutorial! :)

I stamped some butterflies on the patterned paper with black ink.
Then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

And then stamped the same butterflies on matt shrink plastic (using black Stazon).

Fussy cut the butterfly and punch a hole. Use the paper piercer to hold the butterfly in place and then apply heat. It will curl and warp as you heat but fear not, it ends up looking pretty good! :)

You can use clear shrink plastic for a see-through embellishment. I used matt shrink plastic so my butterflies are opaque.

Patterned paper: GCD Studios. Gauche Alchemy embellishments. Inspired by Once upon a....Sketch.

P/s: I would love for you to play along with my guest Alice's stitching challenge! :)
